Don’t eat the chicken salad. It has way too much mayonnaise. Needs to be cut by at least half, maybe three-quarters. The recipe is used campus-wide at NC State University. When put in a wrap, the wrap can’t hold the chicken salad. Seriously, don’t buy anything with the chicken salad as it is currently made. It’s available at the snack bar at the Clubhouse at Lonnie Poole Golf Course. DON’T order the chicken salad wrap there! Otherwise, the Terrace dining room at LPGC has some good stuff when opened but it’s not. No projected opening date! OOPS! Now I discover it’s supplied by US Foods in a way to save money instead of making It on site. Shame on US Foods for making lousy chicken salad!
Wonderful, breathtaking views with a delicious brunch buffet. Easily my top 5 favorite spots in all of Raleigh
Our church group has dined here several times and the Brunch is amazing! The staff is friendly & courteous. The atmosphere is great. We will be dining again in the near future.
Great food. Staff can definitely be more attentive and friendly.I really enjoy when campus events are held at The Terrace Dining Room. There is plenty of room to accommodate large parties gathered for a party. Food, friends, and relaxation always equals fun! #GoPack
As an "out-of-towner", I hosted my sibblings and 2 of their adult children with families here for Sunday brunch. The view was spectacular. The selections on the brunch buffet were great - so much variety. I particularly enjoyed the shrimp and grits. Many of the family enjoyed traditional southern foods like biscuits and gravy. However, there were ample selections of healthful items such as fresh fruits, yogurt with granola and roasted vegetables - the veggies were awesome! You can make your own waffle shaped like a wolf! There are made to order omelets and a carving station offering roast turkey. There were yummy desserts too. If you could not find something to your liking, something is wrong with you!
Had my wedding reception here. The experience was excellent and I recommend it. The location is a bit remote being on a golf course but the view of the city from the attached terrace is a signature amenity that makes the location worthwhile. The dining room is elegantly and neutrally appointed (not garish N.C. State red but nice cool greys) so our flowers really popped. All catering here is by a company called Rave! and their service was top notch start to finish. They had management on hand for the event beginning to end (unlike some venues where the managers leave after the event starts) and any issues, requests or questions were quickly resolved. The A/V setup is excellent and very usable, as the venue provides a laptop so you aren’t fiddling to get yours working with the system. I have to especially give kudos to the A/V staff. They met with us two days ahead of time to endure all setup works and goes smoothly for the event. Despite that (and not their fault!) two hours before my event I found my Spotify account had been hacked and I could not access my 61 song event playlist! Their A/V Tech Will went above and beyond to rebuild the playlist for me using iPhone screenshots I sent him and he made the music come off without a hitch despite the hack. The food was delicious and got lots of compliments. Special requests for changes to the standard menu and services were smoothly accommodated. The staff service from the catering manager on down was excellent. The cost is very reasonable especially if you belong to the NCSU alumni association. Would definitely do another event here and recommend it to anyone considering one.
Well worth visiting for a relaxed lunch - ask to be seated outside if the weather suits. My companions had sandwiches (Naan fajita chicken). I had the fish and chips and have had burgers in the past. Very nicely done for those types of foods; not meant to be haute cuisine or a tablecloth restaurant despite the unquestionable niceness of the decor and surroundings. Our server was green but earnest.
We visited for lunch to determine if this restaurant would be suitable for a reunion of a group of NC State Old Timers! It passed with flying colors. Lovely view out onto the golf course and you could see the Raleigh skyline. Nice service, easy entrance, willing to work with us on table set up and food. And the food was great. We arranged the lunch for a Saturday in Sept and our group will be back!
