Not bad but also not great.Porterhouse is cut relatively thin, which makes ribeye the better choice.Steaks are definitely seasoned. Some in our party loved it and for some it was s bit overwhelming.Avoid the sides of steamed vegetables and the french fries, and stick with the basics of baked potatoes.

We were really hoping for a great meal from the number of good reviews we saw for the restaurant. However, this restaurant was overpriced and underwhelming. Our steaks were tough, completely unseasoned, and cooked to the wrong temperature. Very seriously, they didn’t even pepper the meat, it was just put on the grill plain and cooked. I would expect that from somewhere that isn’t a steakhouse, but not from a restaurant that “specializes” in steaks. For the price tag, I expect a nicer meal than what we received. I did give it two stars as the waitstaff was very friendly and attentive.

Great evening with friends who all ordered steaks they thoroughly enjoyed. The salad bar is open with lots of fresh selections and homemade dressings. Small but quaint iconic Raleigh restaurant. Those I was with have been coming here for more than 35 years. Come try this place for great service and amazing steaks.

No reservations for parties under 8. I believe there was only one table that sat more than 5, didn’t seem to make much since. Waited over 2 hours for a table because of the reviews and recommendations. Ordered the appetizer trio which was bland and lukewarm. My boyfriends mom ordered a margarita which tasted like tequila and water and was very strong. The salad bar was fine but messy. The toppings were mixed with one another with ingredients scattered all over. Fries were cold with the steak and the steaks were over cooked despite order and tough without flavor (ribeye). Overhyped and wouldn’t be back. Better steaks could be had at a chain restaurant.

Everything was perfect the salad bar is amazing everything is fresh this was my first time going my boyfriend and I celebrated our Valentine's day early and he took me this was a perfect restaurant the food was amazing the staff was very friendly and helpful.???? ?

Wonderful staff, delicious food and tasty drinks! This place is impressive and I 100% recommend it!!!!

Recently visited for an evening meal and we were very pleased! The food was great- especially the steak and salad bar! The toasted bread was different and memorable. After a bit of a wait, our service was good too. Would definitely return for another special occasion.

Took my dad for dinner tonight. I can’t express how great this place is! I’ve been in Raleigh 8 years, and the service and food here is better than any restaurant I’ve been to in the whole triangle area. The atmosphere is very quiet, low volume, soft and rustic. Many modern restaurants now adays have customers screaming and talking loud enough to hear their whole conversations, but not this place. The salad bar was very fresh and everything was crisp. The salad plates were chilled which makes the salad stay cool and retain its freshness. The steak was way over the top! Cooked to perfection and flavorful. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating, and the waitress was absolutely perfect! She came to our table very promptly and took our order and took care of us throughout our dinner. She came to our table just enough to make sure we were ok, but she didn’t over do it. Just an exceptional place all around! I will most definitely be back soon and will make this my new go to steakhouse! Thank you to the owners and staff for an amazing experience!

Food was OK. Ordered a ribeye and foot a new york strip. Never got bread, and service was poor, even for pandemic times. Took over 3 hours from order to food on table. Salad bar was very good though. So was the key lime pie.

Greeted by the kindest hostess who offered her favorite dishes. This was our first visit of many to come!! The setting was perfect for a weeknight dinner, and Deija easily recommended her favorites on the menu. Let’s talk salad bar! So many fresh and delicious options… a meal in itself. I had the highly recommended blackened salmon (medium), which was the best I’ve ever had. Everything was full of flavor!!
