What a treat to eat here. Dishes are fresh and fantastic! Got a sweet tooth you must try the Hot Mess. Looking for something on the healthy side, they’ve got you covered there too!
Comfort food at its best. I have been going to the Mac House since they opened. It's a family run restaurant with people who take the time to know their community. Their food is excellent and you can tell that they're passionate about spreading happiness through their craft. There's something for everyone. Do yourself a favor and stop by pick up something delicious.
The food is good here. It’s a good place for lunch with everything from Mac and cheese to salads and a Mac Burger. I ate here a few weeks ago with a big group of family members after going to my nephew’s hockey game. We figured this place would appeal to all ages and we had ages 7 to age 80 in our group. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. My Mac and Cheese with chicken was very good. One person in our group had the Mac Burger, which is kind of unusual with the fried Mac and Cheese for the bun. She liked it. It was nice that they had this gigantic table in the seating area so we could all sit together. I also like that they had outdoor seating. Personally, I’d rather sit outside but it was hot so our group sat inside and it was great. I could see this as a good place to pick up dinner this fall when the weather is colder on nights I don’t want to cook. I typically pick up pizza on Friday nights to go home after work and watch the Hurricanes games, but I could totally see a Mac and Cheese Friday night sometimes, too. It’s not too far from me and my picky teenage eater liked the Mac and Cheese. Liked the restaurant and will return.
First and foremost, The Mac House *respects the cheese*. They use actual cheese, not that horrid shiny pasteurized-processed cheese-food product substance material so beloved by the green-eyeshade droids who dominate most corporate decision-making.I can say this much: years ago, some of us in the international cheese community began hearing rumors of some sort of top-secret super cheese being developed by Soviet scientists. But after a while, the trail went cold and the rumors died away, and we began to lose hope that this miraculous product would ever see the light of day.Well, it appears that the people behind The Mac House have found the recipe, my friends. O happy day!They don’t try to do too much, but what they have is done exceptionally well. It says a lot that they offer twice the quality at one-third the price of most of their competitors. If that isn’t a culinary mic drop, I don’t know what is.Highly recommended: their cheese fries are about the best I’ve had anywhere. Why are you not getting some of them right now? If you respected the cheese, you would.
So my friend and I are sitting in the Red Robins parking lot and deciding to go in or not. We notice there is no Mac and cheese on their menu. We were devastated, nearly in tears. We were about to doom ourselves to a mac-less life, when all of a sudden on my 'food near me' search "the Mac House" had come to life. We put the car in drive and headed on our way. This hole in the wall was next to some other amazing places, but nothing more amazing than itself of course. At least 13 Mac and cheese combos and still more Mac on the menu, I even mean egg rolls full of the good stuff. Gonna have to come back multiple times just to get a taste of all of heaven. 20/10 would come again.
Was deciding on a birthday lunch with a friend. Initially pulled into Red Robins because she said it was alright. After pulling into the parking lot and deliberating for several minutes, realizing the lack of the Mac, we searched for other food spots in the area. The Mac House popped up on Google and we immediately decided to start the car and come through. First time here and it has been an excellent experience with tasty food. ? We are definitely going to try everything on the menu in the coming future! Red Robins has nothing on The Mac House!
Incredibly delicious mac & cheese and a go-to restaurant when I treat myself to eating out. I've tried several of the mac and cheese entree options--'cause let's be honest, that's what I'm here for--and have never had a dish that I wouldn't order again.The portion sizes are larger than I was expecting for the price, which was also a plus! A couple favorites include the Buffalo Chicken mac & Caribbean Jerk Chicken mac...but frankly, just get any of it because it's all tasty.Very friendly customer service when placing and picking up orders, as well.
What an awesome place! My boyfriend loves mac n cheese, so when I saw a review of this place, I had to bring him. We went for his birthday, and the owner brought him a cupcake!I got the Sausage and Pepper mac, and he got the BBQ mac. Both were creamy and delicious!
Soooo good! Service is always impeccable and the food is delicious. One of our favorite places. I love the chicken bacon ranch melt, and my husband always gets the jerk chicken ma, with chili cheese fries.
Great food. Great service. Creative menu. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.
