Great experiences both Raleigh locations-- I ask for no butter oil please and double veggies no rice and the are always so nice to accommodate and food is hot, fresh, tasty and fast!
Food portions are small the for price you pay.
Service was fast and the food was great. They take a more traditional approach to preparing their food so don't expect the food to be drenched in sauce like what you get at most mall food courts.
I order from here all the time. The staff is nice and my food is always great. I get the Tenko Chicken. Quick, convenient, predictable comfort food. And it's kind of silly, but I don't have to ask anyone for chopsticks, you can just grab them as you need them.
I ordered hibachi steak and shrimp. WILL NOT RETURN The fried rice is literally rice with soy sauce- no vegetables. The White sauce taste like water mayo with pepper. The vegetables it self was undercooked. The ginger sauce was the highlight to the meal with the shrimp.

I ordered steak and shrimp, when I arrived the order was for steak and chicken. The workers then picked my chicken off plate and added shrimp and lightly warmed up my already well done steak. On the way out, I was charged $1 for 2 ginger sauces. I personally think 1 white sauce, 1 ginger should be included. This experience wasn’t my fault, and I wasn’t rude about it. The place felt super cheap to me and the food was overcooked/ok at best.
I really loved this spot. I know it's a covid thing, but the self service ordering was super fast and convenient. the food was really good for the price, it didn't blow my mind or anything but for a $10-ish Hibachi meal it was really excellent. I have zero complaints. Also, this spot has the best yum yum sauce I have had outside of making it myself.
I was in the mood for Hibachi, so I decided to check Tenko Japan out on a whim. I ordered the teriyaki chicken entrée with extra zucchini - and it was delicious. My chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly! I will admit that I was a bit confused by the ordering process (you order through the screens up front) when I arrived but I've got the hang of it now and will definitely be back in the future ?
Food was ok. But the little girl behind the counter was rude. And she was yelling around to the most of the people who came in. HARD PASS
