I love this place. Customer service is great! I have ordered delivery twice through apps and the drivers don’t come pick up the order. Nevertheless, they stayed open a few minutes passed closing so I could come pick it up and have complimentary baklava for my inconvenience the app caused me. Always greeted as a friend and food is delicious! I will forever be a customer!!!!
A true “hole in the wall” great find - service was outstanding and the food was terrific! Gyro hit the spot while the tabouli and pasta salads rounded out a great meal.“I feel like I’m in another country”. Said my world traveled Wife - we’ll definitely be back! Phil’s is awesome!
The lamb gyro was delicious and the service is top notch. Sam and his staff are pleasant and put together a great meal. Can't wait to come back.
Not just good food, great food and exceptional staff. They made me feel like The Boss that I am! They also have gluten free pita for those who appreciate that. 6 stars for these guys if I could.
Best place in Raleigh for a lamb gyro!! Always delicious and quick. Don't miss this place for lunch or dinner.
My wife and I will eat here about once a month. The super friendly owner and staff and delicious food keep us coming in. Everything that I’ve had to eat from here has been great.
Well, again I go in and once again not one of the employees is wearing a mask. EVERY customer in the line was wearing a mask. NO employee.Second time in a row. I walked out. They don't get a third strike. Totally irresponsible! If they care so little about their customers health they don't need my business. Never going back! ( Went next door and had dinner at an establishment that cares.)
I've been coming here since I was a little kid, probably 25 years at least. Always delicious and fresh food, very friendly family run business. I try to visit when I'm in town and love bringing friends with me to try their menu.
We were greeted with a very friendly “Hello Friend!” If you are not familiar with this style of cuisine, everyone is extremely helpful and suggestive in guiding you towards choosing a meal you will love! This place has been an institution for thirty plus years - since 1988 according to the owner! Once you go once, you will understand why.We ordered the lamb platter and chicken shish kabob platter with a shawarma wrap to go. Everything was fresh and delicious. Seriously, my boyfriend and I could not get it into our mouths quickly enough. The hummus was creamy and super flavorful without any overwhelming flavors of garlic. The tzatziki was mild and refreshing - very well balanced. They do not skimp when it comes to toppings on anything. The chicken shish kabob was grilled to order, with that grill flavor everyone knows and loves. The lamb was crispy yet juicy and succulent. They have a pepper relish that is good enough to eat on a shoe and fresh garlic sauce that rivals any place I’ve tried in the states and abroad.Don’t miss the Taza spice blend - conveniently in shakers for customers to take with them or to shake on top of everything and anything. It is spicy yet full of flavor. You can even buy containers of it to take home!!Oof - and the cherry on top - the free baklava that was gifted to us for being first time customers. Now, my family is Armenian. I grew up on baklava and make a mean baklava myself. This baklava was buttery and flaky yet moist and sweet. I love desserts that are not overly sweet and that is hard to achieve when it comes to baklava. This place has got it figured out.Go and pay Sam a visit - day or night. This is a great spot and one not to be missed. I will be back again and again and again.
This place is absolutely phenomenal, the second we walked in we were greeted by whom i assume to be the boss and a cook which you could tell had a good working relationship, they were so nice and friendly and were quick to suggest items based off of what we like. This place is everything!! So so so good! We will definitely come back:)
