They changed there menu and took away the yellow curry, don't have the liquor license, everything is up 2 bucks, and noore BOGO on sushi. No flavor on dynamite shrimp. I guess they're trying to ween out the regulars.

It left a little to be desired. The staff was friendly and the food was ok. Outside looks amazing but the inside doesn’t measure up. It look like it was really something at one point. Now it could use a little love. There is no liquor license so no Sake or anything of the sort here. We where told that they would be happy to get us something from the neighboring spirit distributor or we could get it and bring it back. Although I appreciate the offer I prefer to have everything in house if possible. We opted out of the b.y.o.b. I Can’t say that I’m interested in returning which is a shame because I had high hopes for this one.

I used to come to this place fairly regularly before Covid. I love the location, and the food was always very good. Decided to stop in for lunch and was deeply disappointed. The food was good* and the service was friendly, but the place is dark, dirty and dingy, chairs and tables are all falling apart, the walls are dirty. It raises concerns about what the kitchen looks like if the dining room is that dated and uncared for. (*We actually only had appetizers and then left because the conditions were a so disconcerting, and again this is a place that sells raw fish.) So we walked next door to the crepe restaurant and ate there instead, not only was that place well lit and spotless, we actually saw a waitress with a rag scrubbing a spot on a wall while we were there. It's a shame Sushi One is lacking in maintenance because this was the best sushi place in this part of Raleigh at one time, but sushi is all about attention to detail and there are definitely some details that are lacking in attention.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Raleigh. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat. Highly recommend!

This place has gone downhill. They need to repaint, replace furniture, and clean that place. The walls are grimy, the floors are filthy. Bathrooms were upsetting.Service was good. Food was good but the filth put me off my appetite. Please rehab this place, we used to love it.

Sushi One has good sushi and I love that it's BOGO. It loses a star for me because of the lack of upkeep inside, especially to be in the shopping center it's located in.For over a year the plastic on the chairs has been peeling which ends up all over you and some of the chairs are broken and wobbly. Not somewhere you want to take a date or go for a business meeting, but again, the food itself is pretty good!

This is our first and most likely last time to visit Sushi one. Went with another family for dinner to enjoy a beautiful Sunday evening. We were told that they were not serving outside so we ordered our food to go. There were several open tables and chairs out on the open patio. Except that the tables and chairs were all locked up. When we asked if they would mind unlocking them so we could enjoy our meal they declined. There was another family that had done the same thing we had done yet their tables and chairs did not have a lock on them. We asked as they were about to leave and they told us that the restaurant had unlocked them for them. Anyway, maybe there's a good reason for them not to unlock them (they would not give a reason) but just seems like a simple gesture of goodwill to allow your customers to enjoy their food. It was not crowded and was still early so it didn't make a lot of senseNext was the quality of the food. The sushi was just okay. We ordered a number of dishes but noted that the quality of the sushi wasn't great. I had the Geisha and the TNT rolls which were both very small , probably due to the BOGO deal. Also the amount of fish inside this roll was minimal. It was really dry and mostly rice.So the experience was just mediocre, thus the three stars. It was a bad enough experience that we would probably not risk trying again.

We had a great experience at Sushi One. My husband and I are quite particular when it comes to good quality sushi. Sushi One exceeded our expectations! Lisa was great and provided excellent service. We will be back!! Cant wait until next time.

Sushi One is my absolute favorite place for Japanese food in Raleigh! Everything I have had here (e.g., sushi, gyoza, hibachi) is delicious and made with care. My mom and I are always going here or ordering take out. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The only complaint I have is I wish the drinks had more alcohol, but perhaps that's just my personal preference ;)

Fresh servings of beautifully made Sushi! Lunchtime portions are wonderful! My daughter ordered the filet and it was tender and grilled to perfection. My go to spot!
