Our first time here. It was as good as I had heard. Servings are huge: my husband and I split our meal (Poulet with chickpeas and canellini beans salads). My nephew ate half of his meal and took the other half home for dinner. Everything was just right: the bread, the fillings, the spices -- and you could taste the freshness. The beans and chickpeas were obviously cooked in-house, not canned.Although it seems like a no-frills place (from the whiteboard sign outside the shop to the decor and setup inside) attention has been paid to the right things. There is no waiter service - you order at the counter and the owner brings your order to the table. There were perhaps 6 tables inside plus a sofa and seat in a corner where a couple was playing chess while they ate. There are also a few small tables outside. The plates and glasses were simple but solid, as was the napkin-wrapped silverware. Just a really nice, relaxed and relaxing vibe. I see us going here often.

Alpine Minciacinno were excellentGuido was great tooThe bread was really fresh and the Israeli couscous side was excellent!9.5/10

Amazing food and great portions. All they’re sandwiches sound amazing and the two I tried were both spectacular plus they give you a healthy serving of sides! Great bang for your buck, highly recommended!

Great quality food and perfect coffee spot.Highly recommend their tasting platter - definitely enough to feed 2 people. Latte is amazing . They decorated the place very stylish with old school vintage stuff. Prices are fairly reasonable and service is quick. Cool place

I am not easily moved to leave reviews, but: Everyone needs to support this absolute gem because you cannot find food like this in Raleigh ANYWHERE else. Delicious doesn’t begin to cover the experience. They do fresh amazing food that feels more at home in Europe, but by some stroke of luck and genius is right here in downtown Raleigh. Eat at, and protect Sosta at all costs.

Love the Little Piggy and Dude Where’s My Chicken. Great vibe. Awesome food. And local art on walls.

Fantastic place with great food, friendly staff, and really cool retro ambience. Jerome, the owner, is super friendly and great to talk to while you are waiting for your order. His food is phenomenal. While it may appear simple, the ingredients are super fresh and the combination of flavors is sublime. I personally enjoy my namesake sandwich, the "Guido" (silent "u" :)). Other really good sandwiches are the Piedmont and the Pollobella. The bread is super tasty as well as the sides (cannellini beans, Israeli couscous, and chickpea salad). The vegetarian options and coffee are all really good too. In summary, this is a great place that I am so happy was able to survive the pandemic. Please give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

Super flavorful, coffee is purest style with bold flavor pairings. It's clean, fresh food.

Sosta is a small, comfortable, and quiet cafe with phenomenal food and coffee. The limited menu helps keep the small kitchen moving fast and keeping the quality on a top tier level. The food is comforting and light with the portions being perfect for continuing your day without feeling like there is a lead weight in your gut. Everything is made fresh and it really shows. We will definitely be going back and enjoying the laid back atmosphere.

I stopped by this restaurant as I had some business near downtown Raleigh. I was happy to see that they have lots of vegetarian choices. I ordered "This Little Piggy," which was good (and did not contain any pork). I was in a hurry so I didn't have time to try the soup, salads, or drinks. I noticed that other than what I ordered, there are cute names for other dishes on the menu (e.g., "Guido"). Prices are not low, but I find that it is usually worth it to pay a little extra for good vegetarian food. They add 4% to your bill if you pay by credit card. I have seen that once or twice before, but downtown in a major city it is a bit unusual. And as a person who pretty much never carries cash, I found this unappealing. So, I asked the owner. He was upfront about this issue, which I appreciated. He explained that he had to do it because of the very large downturn in business recently due to the coronavirus crisis. I was curious about the name: "sosta" is not a French word and the owner is from (southern) France. I looked it up, "sosta" is Italian for "stopover." Overall, a nice personable place with good food.
