Just had an absolutely amazing meal from Shane’s. We were only able to eat half of it because we were so stuffed from the oversized portions. We ordered two full racks of ribs (each comes with two sides) and everything was beyond delicious. Also got more points added to our rewards account. A+ 10/10.
Everything is cooked in the same sauce. The baked beans taste like they are canned, and not even as good as Bush's, This is a rib place, explain to me why they can't throw a little meat in those beans for some flavor? My friend and I absolutely could not figure out why in the world it had so many people in the restaurant. We actually spoke to people at three surrounding tables they said they had never been there before but they would never be back! I guess I was only happy to hear we were validated in our opinions. I feel sorry for those that think this place is good. Because you obviously have never had the opportunity to have some good BBQ and that's a shame.
I wondered on this location in the storm and glad I did. This was absolutely the best food I've had in a while, outside of my own cooking. Johnnie was very helpful in helping me with my order. I ordered the lemon pepper wing combo with fried okra, half chicken plate with baked beans and potato salad. I also ordered a homeless person sitting outside 6 boneless bbq wings with fries and a sprite. Me and my Nanny devoured the food and hummed as we ate. Johnnie said I would return and he is absolutely right. We can't wait to try the ribs, possibly tomorrow.
Placed a catering order. Ran out of food. Plain and simple. I saw the plates being served up. Nothing out of the ordinary. Still ran out of food. 4 lbs of meat for 17 people. That is like an ice cream scoop cup of BBQ per person. To make matters worse, it wasn't cheap. Will not be returning. Dickey's offered 50% more for less money. Save the headache and try them instead.
Great food and the price is right.
I was able to place my order without any issues. We waited for about five minutes and decided to step out for a few minutes while waiting for the order to be prepared. We came back in 10 minutes and the order was not ready. We were told that it was coming up shortly. Another 10 minutes go by and still no order. Long story short, we received our to go order 45 minutes later. It was just a burger and fries and a rib plate. I got home and the fries were soggy and the burger was WELL done and it was barely sauced. I had to add barbecue sauce to it myself to keep from throwing it away. First and last time going there. Started to go to City Barbecue but decided to try some place new. My mistake. Sidenote, the ordertakers and front room staff were good. No problems with them.
First time visiting this place. Staff were courteous, the order took 30 mins to prepare, but I was expecting it since I was initially told it would take 25. The place was not packed, so I figured they may have been short staffed to take 30 mins for a simple burger. All three burgers we ordered were very salty, the fries were decent, and the wings were ridiculously small. The last time I ate wings that small was in Jordan. Very dissatisfied and disappointed at the size considering I paid $12 for what I was expecting to be 8 regular american size wings. Overall, we were not satisfied and will not visit again. However, there were many other customers and perhaps their experience was better. All I can say is that having visited many burger and wings places in the US and around the world, this one will not be on the top of my list. I really hope they get better at it.
Our first visit back in eight years. Everything was just as tasty as it was years ago. Dining area was clean.
The pulled pork was good and the fries were amazing, I wish they gave me more. But the wings were dry and too small for the price. The meals are not worth it in my opinion because the portions are so small and the prices are high.
I’ve tried barbecue in over 40 different states and I hate to say that Shane’s was the worst of them all. The portions were small, which is usually a problem but I was actually happy that I didn’t have to throw away more food. I gave a second star for the very nice lady working the front counter.
