The food was great and the service was great as well! Very competitive prices for the area, and the food quality for pub style food is really great. All places are short staffed now, it's up to us as patrons to be patient and perhaps try and come out at a time where the restaurants aren't so busy if we expect to be promptly taken care of. We can all do better to support our local restaurants, and patience is free. Thank you, Becky!
Okay, first I want to say the food was great. Best fried pickles ever. The three stars, and really lower, are for the service. We were sat quickly and by a nice hostess, but then waited for 15 minutes before being acknowledged by our hostess. That’s cool if you’re busy, but just say you’ll be with us in a sec. We try to be understanding of short staffed situations, however we dined late on a Sunday (I’m actually writing this at the table) and there were very few people around us. Our waitress actually saw us waiting, made eye contact, and wiped down an already clean table next to us. Our food came, it was great. Couldn’t find the waitress. We gave up waiting and went and got our own food containers from the counter. At this point the waitress walks into the room, sees us boxing up our food, yawns, and walks back out of the room. She finally came back about five minutes later to give us our check. After bring it back to the table she tells us to have a goodnight in the tone of a teenager telling you to screw your self—I say this as a high school teacher. We’d been friendly and hadn’t complained during this whole encounter. We won’t be back after this.
Went in for a game 7 canes game and had a glorious time. Food was excellent. I got the fried pickles and they were the best I ever had along with a full rack of ribs that were perfectly cooked. The soda was a little watered down though and that's my only complaint.
Cheese fries were very soggy. Onion rings are a better choice. Burger was very good and cooked to order. Sweet potato tots were burned. Staff was very nice.
Burgers and beer done very well!You want either, or just a place for a drink after a long day? This is the place.There burgers are cooked to order with quality ground beef. You can substitute chicken for any of the burgers too, and they are good as well!The beer variety is great and the drinks are mixed right.
We had the best service tonight! Noticed all the wait staff were incredibly friendly! Huge shout out to the owners/managers for making your employees so happy!! (Oh and the food was pretty good too!! ???)
My family has been going to eat at Sawmill Tap since they opened. The food is excellent. However, I called today to try to place a to-go order and was treated very rudely by Kelly, the manager. I placed part of the order, and apologised that I forgot the name of the other sandwich. I looked it up and started talking again to realise that Kelly had hung up. I kept trying to call back...after about 8 tries, she finally answered. I explained that I had been trying to call back to complete the order to which she rudely replied "We are busy". I told her if they are that busy they do not need my order.After I thought about it, I called back. Again, she was VERY rude...would hardly let me talk...and said her attitude was based on mine. Well, yes, if I am placing an order and the phone is hung up, that would tend to upset you. She snidely said "I don't know if you're aware of what's going on in restaurants now..." I tried to explain that I did, and that I don't care and never complain when it takes a long time. We have just been trying to support local restaurants. I finally told her that we just wouldn't be back. I am astounded at the lack of professionalism and the amount of rudeness. In all of our jobs, we are rushed and put to the test. That doesn't mean you disregard your customer and hang up the phone on them! I no longer feel the need to support this restaurant, and that's a shame. It's been our go-to place for over 20 years.
Had a great time last night! Ordered a half rack of ribs with sweet potato tots to compliment the Steakcake Stout. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! Some of the other guests provided lively entertainment as well.
We took advantage of the recent warm weather to have lunch with our daughter and son-in-law on the Sawmill Tap Room's outside deck (Facing Lead Mine Road). Our server was so helpful and attentive! The food was good, although my burger was a little charred and bitter. The real hit was the service and the ambiance. Top notch.
