I was a little leary after reading some of the recent reviews, but we wanted Mexican food and this place is pretty close to our hotel. We experienced really good service, particularly with regard to wait time for our food, which was really fast! Everything tasted very fresh. I got carnitos burrito and the pork was lean and delicious. The restaurant has a good selection of vegetarian options too. We'll be back.

It took 10 plus minutes for someone to come take our drink order, then once we ordered food we had to ask other staff for refills on drinks as our server disappeared. Unfortunately no drinks appeared, so we asked another staff member. Still no drinks appeared. Finally the 3rd person we asked was able to get us a refill. The food came and our server finally appeared after we had eaten most of it. We were done, and then waited 20 minutes for someone to bring us a bill. A different server asked if we were done, so I said yes, we had been done for 20 minutes. Once we got our check, they add a 4% surcharge to all orders, which I'm sure is to cover CC processing charges. Worst service we've had in years and won't be back.

Absolutely delicious, the Birria tacos were so flavorful, cheese dip is rich, and my wife loved the fajita burritos she ordered too, the only take was the slow service though the food definitely worth the wait

Perfection and clean. Meal was seasoned perfectly the drink smooth. Texas fajita steak chicken and shrimp. And raspberry mango margarita. Delicious. I never had to look for waitress she was checking on my and making sure I was taken care of. Great place for dates or family outings large enough to accommodate bus tour group. Clean bathrooms.

This place is amazing. I had the pollo Sonora and my husband had the spinach-chicken enchilada. Both were delicioso and we had plenty to also take home!

We had an excellent experience at San Jose Mexican Restaurant today. Staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating capacity.I ordered the Fajita Burrito with Steak, lunch size, today and it was great. The meat was perfectly cooked. It was also in nice, bite size pieces which really added to the flavor. My wife got the Fiesta Chicken Salad and it was also delicious. I couldn't believe how much chicken was served with the salad. We will definitely be back.

Food was mediocre!!! …$11 margarita and I’m quite sure there was no alcohol of any kinda in it. I had a lot of food with my fajitas and was only given 2 small tortillas and then asked for me and was charged $.99. Oh yes there’s a “convenience fee” charged if you use a card but this information is no where written or stated when coming in.We weren’t given any napkins, did ask if we wanted refills.Too many other Mexican Food restaurants in Raleigh to waste time here.

Great place! The food is delicious and the Margaritas are even better! Wide selection of Margaritas and cocktails to choose from. Love the easy vibes, comfortable atmosphere, outdoor seating.

The food was great! Staff was friendly and the service was excellent. I had the veggie fajita, and my husband had the chicken fajita. The portions were very generous!

While the food is excellent, the service is very very poor. I spent almost $60 on to-go orders which included a fajita-for-two order. I got home and realized there were no tortillas whatsoever in the order. When I called, I was told the "manager was busy" and the lady on the phone told me that "I told you to check your order" and "you're going to come back for two dollar tortillas?". 1. She didn't say anything to check and order, and 2. What kind of customer service is this to tell a customer it's their fault they didn't get something they paid for?Great food. Poor service, and because of that we will not be coming back.
