Great NC State college bar/restaurant. Exactly what you would expect from this type of restaurant: burgers, wings, sandwiches, subs, etc. The food is good and the drinks are cold! Staff is friendly.Oh, this is also a great place to come to watch Pittsburgh Steelers games!
The food was great. I had ordered French fries and asked for some gravy to go with my fries. They brought one of the small containers that you get ketchup in and charged a $1. Are you kidding me. That's so wrong. Never again.
Very good service and friendly staff. Made great efforts to make for a great visit. Clean restaurant and atmosphere. Beer selection is good. Food was what is expected for tavern food. Pretty decent comfort food. Playlist for lunch was weird music lol. We would go back.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. The restaurant was dead so I assumed that I would get good service and no wait. Our waitress, Erin, was friendly for the one time we saw her, drinks didn’t get refilled until we finally got the check, had to beg for silverware and our French fries, which after 25 minutes (after we had already gotten our food) finally came out, freezing cold by the way. Never have seen a waitress literally drag their feet and huff about having to get freaking the bare essentials. I use to come here in college and I loved the place, especially karaoke night. But it has gone downhill bad and the lack of customers reflect that. 0/10 will not come back. I have never posted a review before but it was so bad I just had to.

Kat offered the best service available!!!! She truly is one of the best bartenders, and servers in the business. Would recommend anybody in the Raleigh area to visit Sammy’s tap and grill for quality service and great food and drinks.
By the far the best service I’ve ever had! Kat is the best bartender and is super sweet and fast. Jackie is an amazing server and is bright ray of sunshine. However, the one thing that stood out to me is the floor mats around the bar look like they could use some attention, but overall great atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend:)
Sammy's was amazing for our group event! We all came for music bingo wednesday night which was super fun. Jill was excellent at communicating with me to order ahead and organize our group. Food was amazing. Our server Maddy was even more amazing! She was so on top of things and made sure we were taken care of the entire night. Will be coming back!
Service is excruciatingly slow. I ordered a draft beer, one of their specialty burgers cooked medium, a side of fried pickles, and ranch for dipping. My partner ordered a cocktail drink with a specified liquor and pork nachos with the jalapenos on the side. After 25 minutes and watching several people walking from the dining room to the bar and returning with their drinks within 2 minutes, my beer arrived from another waitress. My partner decided to go looking for our waitress and the status of her drink. She finds our waitress and waitress says, they are out of the afore-mentioned specified liqueur. This is after 30 minutes from ordering the drink... My partner orders an alternate drink and receives it after 45 minutes from the initial order.The food is terrible. My partners "nachos" arrive after an hour from our order with literally NO queso cheese (included on the nachos). No jalapenos on the side. At this point, my partner just sent it back. But I was starving at this point and upon first inspection, the burger looked okay. Nope. Medium Burger temperature must translate to burnt/well well done and COLD. Fried pickles were cold and soggy with no side of Ranch. I figured I could speak with the waitress when she would come back by to make sure we were good. Nope, I watched her as she attended to other tables. I ate the burger because I was starving. It was worse than a burnt McDonalds burger and immediately regretted it. I had to literally chase down the waitress to get the tab after just being so frustrated at the experience.It's a shame. I used to love this place. But instead of being able to enjoy ourselves, this place ruined our evening. I would give 0 stars because 1 star is too kind.
This restaurant had decent food and an acceptable décor. The outdoor patio was a nice touch. The tables were a little dirty. My waitress was nice. There were TVs everywhere. This restaurant and sports bar was similar to any other and is nothing out of the ordinary; it is neither the best nor the worst.
