The people were nice and friendly but I will not purchase anything from there again. I bought a little over one hundred dollars worth of crab legs and although the meat came out easily they were so salty you couldn't even stand to eat them. I've ate crab legs all my life and never had any like this. Very disappointing
Excellent seafood shop in Raleigh. Good prices, good selection. I had previously visited other seafood shops and was disappointed but Saltwater definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff was super friendly as well. 2 thumbs up!
I called yesterday and spoke to a female employee and asked her the cost of a large salmon fillet and she said $7.99 lb...for the large fillet. This morning I drove 12 miles to get 3lbs. The manager just so happened to be behind the counter when I arrived. I asked to see the large salmon fillets and he said....it's $11.99 per lb. I explained that I had called and what his female employee had told me....he didn't care at all and said "oh well" and shrugged his shoulders. I guess he has his employees to give out false information to get people in his market and count on them purchasing any way....even though they're paying more. NOT Me!!!!
After we brought our live seafood home more than half of our crabs were dead and the person I spoke to on the phone was rude and almost surprised that a customer would want recompense. He attempted to make up excuses but would not even discuss the possibility of a partial refund or store credit. Look, there are multiple seafood places in the area. Avoid this one and give your business to a store that actually cares about the customer. Both the seafood and the management are rotten. Avoid at all costs.
I bought fresh flounder and salmon today. Both of them look and smell fresh. I am looking forward to cooking them!The staff is attentive to customers.FYI - The Fry Shack is temporarily closed due to staffing shortages. Call ahead.
Great size live blue crabs, $7.99 pound. You have to pick them yourself, but if you're from DC like me, you don't mind. You want to pick a nice, live, heavy crab. You know you're getting what you paid for.
I absolutely love this place. Fresh fish and seafood every time I go. The owner and staff is very nice and welcoming. I live in Mebane NC and drive to Raleigh NC for his seafood.

Finding fresh seafood this far inland in a state that fries everything is difficult and as a northerner who lived on the water I know a good fresh seafood spot when I see one. It’s really sad that Mike Earp has to lie to his customers to get business. He and his market are in NO WAY affiliated with Earp’s seafood market. The one and only Earp’s is located at 1414 S Saunders St.Mary Salmon Earp and her husband Herbert dedicated their hard work to starting this family business. Using the name to pull business is beyond unethical.Don’t let his Wholesale trucks fool you like they do many people.
