Had dinner here with my family. The food was really good or I was just really hungry. The food came to the table hot, so make sure you wait a second before you burn the inside of your mouth. The mozz sticks were a little over cooked and tasted almost like hush puppies. Pizza was ok but the crust was definitely AWESOME it’s like they perfected the crust. Had to refill our own drinks but I guess that’s what happens being short staffed. Bathrooms needed a little attention. But over a great experience. We will definitely be back
We have enjoyed Ruckus Pizza for many years. You can get the largest pizza here - 24 inches. Pizza is so big they cut it in squares. All the ones in the middle are perfect for your kid that does not like the crust. The garlic knots are delicious. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There is another Ruckus in Cary and the pizza from this location is by far and above better. It must be the oven. You can order ahead so it is ready when yoi arrive. The interior is a typical bar near a college. Fairly dark. There is a canopy outside with seating. Located in a shopping center so plenty of parking.
Given the vibe of place, quality of pizza and the price you pay for food, Ruckus Pizza is one amazing place. I visited this place late evening and there was live music and lively vibe all around. It is not the most cleanest of restaurants but well you can't expect that with a place popular among university students. It is a good place to dine in with friends (but not family).
The pizza slices here are the best in Raleigh. The dough is just amazing. I have got dough balls and made pizza at my restaurant with them for staff meal and they are so amazing. I have been a regular here for about 4 years and I don't go anywhere else for pizza! & Cindy and Joel are really nice bartenders!
We were in town for a day and we wanted to get a easy quick bite. Our sever was super friendly and the vibe and atmosphere of the place is really cool. We ordered the Kickin’ Grilled Chicken and the Meatball sub. My daughter enjoyed her sub (we’re definitely spoiled by NJ meatballs) and the grilled chicken sandwhich was not exactly kicking, but it was decent. I can’t speak to the pizza because we didn’t try it. All and all not a bad spot to grab a bite. Kudos though for having gluten free bread - that was awesome.
I love this place. Apart from the pizzas being awesome the best thing about this place is the staff. The place has a very nice homely feel to it and the people make you sure that you have a very good time. The price is very reasonable compared to the quantity and quality. We usually order a 24 inch and 18 inch for a group of 6 and still manage to take a lot of leftovers. Will definitely visit again :)
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Pizza crust is thin and baked perfectly. Many available toppings and several slice sizes and pizza sizes offered as well. Full bar with several craft beers.
Hands down one of the best subs I've eaten in a min! The chips that came with it were DEVINE! I'll definitely be going back. Food was so good I didn't even take a picture... Next time I will
Great (huge sliced) pizza for a great price, right off of Western Boulevard and within walking distance of NC State. Pizza and garlic knots are always on point here.
Our office typically orders from Ruckus for meetings etc. I want to highlight that the staff here are kind. It's a lively atmosphere. Unfortunately the pizza doesn't match that. I placed a phone order to pick up 2 pies and a large salad at a set time ( simple enough) upon calling before leaving and arrival after the scheduled pick up time, my food was not ready. My salad was "being prepped". I waited 25 minutes. I'm a patient woman. Unfortunately my 2 pies for our work meeting sat for probably I would assume to be less than a hour. When I went to serve our staff, the pies were freezing cold. No one could enjoy them. Cold, Mushy and Undercooked pies. Why not have made the pies close to the pick up time if the salad wasn't ready ???? Why have pizzas sit out ???? Why not cook them thoroughly? Yes happy hour was happening, perhaps more kitchen help is needed.I was generous with my rating that went towards the kind staff at this establishment and the fellow that helped me carry the pies to the car etc. I understand that everyone is understaffed due to COVID19, but after paying $60 for cold food, I'm unhappy and won't return.
