I consider myself a dueling-piano bar aficionado, so I was pleased to be able to make it here on this trip to Raleigh. They are currently only open on Friday and Saturday nights. I arrived around 10:30pm on Saturday and the place was packed, to the point that it was a bit hard to walk around. There's a reason for that, though, as they put on a great show.I've been to other dueling piano bars that, in my opinion, had better singers/musicians. Having said that, these guys are definitely entertainers. They did a fantastic job of keeping the crowd energized, and from a pure entertainment perspective, I'd put them up there in my top 3 dueling piano bars in the world. I didn't realize until late in the evening that the stage was slowly rotating, which was a nice touch.I like that the drinks were reasonably-priced. While I didn't eat here, the food looked good (typical bar fare). I also like that one of the performers made it a point to walk the room towards the end of the night and ask how people were enjoying the show.I would highly recommend this place, and will be back next time I'm in Raleigh on a Fridayvor Saturday.
We decided this place might be fun because we enjoyed the dueling piano bar in Myrtle Beach and this was so much more! Amazing performance! The next morning my throat hurts from singing along so much and laughing! Such a great time we’ll definitely be back and will tell all our friends. Thanks so much for such a fun night y’all rock!
Had an unbelievably great night. Wanted a night out with friends for the first time in years and couldn't find anything that fit the bill, this was IT! We got dinner and a show and the food was good, hUge portion sizes, and the show was just awesome. Super funny, relaxed atmosphere, went with a group of LGBT folks and felt amazingly welcomed. The musicians were so stinking good it makes you appreciate the art and skill to a whole new level. Super adaptable. Some of those vocals had my jaw drop. Overall, amazing experience. Only two quick notes, the mixed drinks were on the expensive side and not very well made. Kind of watered down and weak in the flavor and alcohol regard. But I did order two shots for the special occasion and told the bartender that it's been so long, I don't even know what I want. He mixed up a quick drink with professional bartenders skills and it tasted great! Second note, they are not kidding when they say they only see money on the song suggestions. It was about 2 hours in before a song suggestion with less than a 20$ bill on top would be played. This is not a negative on the bar, I totally get the concept. Would have been nice to sprinkle in a song or two from the poorer partiers because the musical theme for the night got a bit dominated by the older, more well-to-do crowd. But again, totally get the concept, it's a business after all. Will bring more cash next time so I can get my songs played. Overall, 11 out of 10. Absolute BLAST!
We had a great time celebrating the bride at PLUS. We were highly impressed with every single one of the musicians - from vocal ranges to instrumental ability to their incredible musical range. We were sitting in the back and Tony (who we later learned is the owner and a piano player) came and greeted us moments after walking in the door, knowing we were celebrating. He continued to greet guests as he made his way up to the piano. We moved seats and he and the other musicians continued to include not only us, but many of the audience members! Next time I come to Raleigh, this will be my first downtown stop! The vibe is friendly and what you make it. You can sit and watch or get up and dance. The drinks tasted great too! Excellent place and I’m so excited to come back next time I’m in town!
This was the most welcoming, diverse, and exciting environment that we visited in Raleigh. Everyone who worked there was down to earth. Megan was our server, and I cannot say enough great things about her. The security staff was also super friendly. The owner was cool as hell and I give him so many props for creating such an incredible experience. All around, a MUST visit when you’re in town….and definitely reserve a table! Also, bring cash to request songs! The musicians are extremely talented and deserve all the tips!
Fun atmosphere with amazing energy . Great entertainers. Nice variety of songs. Friendly staff. This place is a must do!!
This was the most welcoming, diverse, and exciting environment that we visited in Raleigh. As someone who is normally in bed by 10pm, we stayed until 1am and didnât want it to end! The security staff was also super friendly. All around, a MUST visit- definitely reserve a table ;) Bring cash to request songs. The musicians are extremely talented and deserve all the tips!!
Such a fun and entertaining place! We celebrated our anniversary here after having dinner at 42nd Street and our night was amazing. These musicians are incredibly talented!! Super fun place to go even whilest sober & preggo!! ð
This was my 2nd trip to Plus. The musicians are so talented and constantly amaze me how they can perform any song on the spot. Once the crowd warms up and people start dancing it's a real party. Lots of good humor from the performers as well. Will be back! Drinks are tasty and averaged priced. Food is decent bar-type food but you don't come there for the food, it's the performance that stands out.
Better than their predecessors downtown.
