It was an off night in the joint. You could just tell. But from the moment we walked in the door it was a pretty bad experience. The hostess never even greeted us and even when I approached her or check in she just wouldnât make eye contact. I got her attention and she informed me my reservation would be delayed 10 minutes. No biggie, weâre easy so we sat at the open spot at the bar. The bartender did a great job though when things really went south he didnât do much other than apologize. Things were going fine and our fist tapas arrived and the Mac and cheese was pretty good. We also ordered a Caesar salad and the sea bass with short rib. Yum. ONE HOUR LATER our chunk of lettuce aka Caesar salad was terrible. Thatâs all it was, a chunk that we had cut up with some dressing and almonds. Even the couple next us was confused at what they served us. Next up the sea bassâ¦nope. No where to be found. Ah you know what. I canât type anymore. They did their best and thatâs all we can do, but Iâm not going back. There are too many places that do it right. This was all wrong.
twas simply mahvelous, my wife and I got a variety of dishes last night for our anniversary! highly recommend the grilled avocado, fish and chip tacos, NY Strip, and the scallops!!
I previously visited ORO for Sunday brunch. I recommended stopping in for appetizers and drinks to a friend before we headed to a show. We were seated and our waitress came up after a 10 minute or so wait. We let her know that we had a show so we would be in a little bit of a rush with only about an hour and 20 minutes to dine. We placed our drink and food order at the same time. Our drinks came, they were delicious. Our food seemed to be taking a long time so we asked the waitress to check on it she agreed that she would. I ordered the truffle mac & cheese and my friend ordered the salmon. After 30 minutes we asked the waitress to check again she said she would. After 45 minutes I left my seat walked to the waitress and asked her about our food. She said she would go check in the kitchen, she came back 10 minutes later to tell me that the kitchen never received the order due to a âtechnical issueâ. By this time we were 10 minutes from our show time and needed to leave but I did ask to see the manager. The waitress left to get the manager returned to tell us that the manager was too busy to speak with us but that she would be happy to bring us our checks for the drinks. I donât blame the waitress for this as she cannot control tech issues but I do blame her for not checking with the kitchen the first 2 times that we asked about our food and I mostly blame the manager who was working with the table next to us, having extensive conversations with them and not once did she look in our direction to speak, introduce herself or to inquire about why we were sitting at a table with no food when everyone else around us had been served multiple dishes. It is tacky that a restaurant manager would refuse to come speak to a guest who was never given food that was ordered. I felt so embarrassed that I suggested Oro to a friend that had never been there before. I wonât make the mistake of returning.
Wonderful experience. We had a good time and tried new foods
Food was amazing
Enjoyed the food. Service was outstanding. Bartender listened and delivered delicious drinks. Weâll be back.
Fantastic craft cocktails. Super friendly staff who are very knowledgeable about the tapas being offered.
Came to the restaurant as a celebration for my partners new job. When we were sat there was salt all over our table and it took about 12-15minutes for someone to even greet us. Waited an extremely long time for our food(I think our server forgot to ring it in) Service was lagging all night(empty water cups, empty plates, no checking in), spoke to a manager and cheyenne or shayanne(?) was very sweet but definitely wonât be returning. Noise is ridiculously loud, music is constantly blasting. If youâre looking for a cute date night or something romantic- this place isnât it.
The food was spectacular! Great place to go before a play at Fletcher Theater.
This was my first time eating at Oro and I will DEFINITELY be back. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. All the dishes were over the top amazing. the presentation and seasoning were spot on. A great place to go with a group and share several dishes or bring someone special to treat them!
