Okay, WHAT?!? This gluten free pizza is easily one of the best gf pizzas I’ve ever had! This is coming from the person who has literally caught an $18 Frontier flight to Denver, CO just to get Blue Pan Pizza for dinner and fly back, before. Seriously, it’s so good. To feel like I can eat like a “normal” person again with such a delish pizza, is a dream. 1,000 out of 10 recommend!
Excellent pizza and very nice people. Super fresh, perfectly crisp. Can't wait to go back.
All the pizzas, beer and whiskey are great! Nice wine selection as well. I don't normally like pepperoni but this place made it so delicious that it's one of my favorites.
Pizza, salads, wine.
Visiting from out of town and really like to support local eateries on our first visits. Based on all I read I was excited at the prospect of a pizza rivaling my favorite, Pupatella Pizza in Arlington Va. Couple of things. First, it is kind of a nightmare to get to the restaurant to either eat in or carry out. The drive there is fine but the parking in the area is terrible.Pizza. Ordered pepperoni and we were very excited to see the mini cupping pepperoni. The little ones that curl up on the edges and hold little pockets pepperoni “juice” which is amazing. Once we got the pizza (service was superb with the pick up and the staff were very thoughtful) and arrived at our hotel room (10 minute drive) the pizza must have steamed in the box. The bottom crust was incredibly limp, and yet the edge crust was very tough and difficult to eat. Wood fired/brick oven I have always had, the crust has ALWAYS been the best part. Soft, flexible, but firm bottom crust and chewy yet soft edge (with a bit of charring being good actually). This pizza didn’t have it. Great sauce, great pepperoni, and great cheese, but foundation was, meh…
The pizza is really good and the staff are great, they always ask me how I’m doing when I pick up which is nice of them. Oakwood has become my pizza go to spot.Be careful with parking, the parking cops love to harass people for parking in the bike lane, even though they park their ticketmobile in the bike lane to enforce law and order.
Easy to order online, but it is a popular location, so you might need to wait a little longer than expected to get your pizza. However, the wait is well worth it. I believe they've recently opened up inside seating, but I have only done take out with them. This place has quickly become my favorite pizza place in Raleigh!
Order took 65 minutes. I showed up, and they had me wait another 10 minutes. Then they told me they gave my pizza to someone else. I just took the other person's pizza: it was cold, the middle was soggy, and it had jalapeños on it. Like, it was maybe a step above Dominos? There's definitely better pizza in Raleigh (and you'll actually get what you order without having to wait all night).
By far this place is the best Pizza option in town,Pizza box is a very small pizza restaurant in oakwood Raleigh..they serve pizzas, salads and canneloni. We had a cheese pizza with extra pepperoni and it was delicious and had a generous amount of cheese on top, they only serve 1 size (8slices) enough for 2 people..The dough is thin and tasty with a nice crust.the order took around 30 mins to be prepared but it was sat. Night and they were a bit crowded. The pepperoni pizza was for 25 dollars.
Simple menu but great pizza and salad!
