If you’re going to have a server please let them be able to understand what a customer is saying… i added a lobster tail she brought out the whole lobster.I asked for 1 bake potato for my salmon entreeI received two.I received actually two full entrees …When I asked for one with an added lobster tail.I also asked for a sweet tea twice. I watched my server both times stop & hold a conversation with a coworker.Smh never will I come back.
Over all rating would be 5 stars. The food is fantastic and the server was great! When you walk into the restaurant it has a very upscale feel with its chic marble looking tables and beautiful well stocked bar with a very open feeling atmosphere. This restaurant looks like it can accommodate parties with its back room space.A few Cons…(I’m sorry to say this but I want to be brutally honest with my review so it’ll help a business improve and it’ll help customers be well informed before choosing a restaurant to dine at)1) The chips weren’t warm when they were brought to the table. I feel that they should be warm….. has a fresher taste to them when the chips are warm.2)the music is loud. It would be difficult to have a conversation with your family/friends or date you bring here. So it would encourage someone to have to speak over the music to properly have a conversation… which means on a busy day (keeping in mind the open floor plan) everyone would be speaking loudly and it would be even harder for anyone to hear anyone. Let alone servers taking orders.3)I would encourage a bilingual translation for English as well as Spanish on the menusThe menu is mostly Spanish with some English labels…or in parentheses there are some English words that tell you what’s in it but it doesn’t really describe what the dish is. So I feel like I’m ordering blind. (As English is my language and I am not fluent in Spanish)Overall the restaurant has room for growth. It’s not major problems. Just small changes that I feel should be made to make the restaurant feel more relaxed, and more inclusive. However keep in mind sometimes it’s paying attention to the little details that can impact a business a lot.Good luck on everything. I love the service and the food :) I will be back again with my significant other ❤️
Margarita was absolutely disgusting. The staff was very nice. My comment was totally about the drinks
Food was delicious and fresh!! However, the music was Excessively LOUD! Also the service was slow and somewhat unprofessional. Please train staff not to serve across the table; walk around the table to serve and remove plates, whenever possible. Additionally, staff should not be sitting at the bar. Staff members were all very friendly. This restaurant has lots of potential, if only managed a little bit better!
The food was perfectly delicious and the decor design was upbeat and cheerful. Sadly, service did not meet expectations because the server didn't know enough English to understand our questions about the menu or to meet our needs when requesting simple items. Our drink glasses emptied and were not refilled. Pricing was too high on several items such as dishes using tilapia.
Best place we've been to in a long time..Great mexican seafood...And the drinks are awesome
This is my second visit to this restaurant. I wanted to try something different from the menu so I could see how consistent they are with the preparation of their food.I ordered in person but took the food to go. My son and I enjoyed the food today as well. Everything was nicely prepared and had good texture. The MOLCAJETE MAZATLÁN and the ARROZ PLAYERO were good but could’ve used a little more seasoning. The shrimp and calamari basket was okay.As happened the last time I ate from this restaurant, my bill had an extra fee that was not obvious. This time, I questioned it before paying. Turns out that if you pay with a credit card there is an additional fee that’s based on a percentage of the bill; however, if you are paying with cash, the cost is as expected/accurate. That still does not sit well with me because the cost should be the same regardless of whether you’re paying with cash or paying with a credit card.Other than the issues described above, this is still a good spot to eat. The food has been consistently good overall.
The service coming in was great! Food was delicious. The only negative things I can say was the Mexican music was WAY TOO LOUD and it took well over 30 minutes to get the check when they clearly knew we were done. I will come back because the food was terrific!!
Had the arroz con camarones. The queso over the rice was ? Would definitely try the margaritas next time. Great service as well. Only 4 stars because the live music was great just super loud and unexpected.
While driving through Raleigh I drove past my old “Soul Food Buffet” Grandsons or something of the other. This building which has been formerly closed during the Covid 19 outbreak is now, open, It is now called “SAN BLAS SEAFOOD GRILL & BAR” I had to stop in. When I first opened the door, I felt I was in for something special and this restaurant did not disappoint. They have a vast menu of seafood goodies prepared with an Hispanic flair! Food and drink presentations are plentiful, creative and magnificent. The staff in hospitable and attentive as they seem to know they are serving a great product. If your not hungry, San BLAS has an adequately stocked bar. Their bar menu is loaded with exotic drink choices decorated with more fruit than needed for your daily requirement. This is an awesome date night spot or simple night out with the family. A definite bright spot close to downtown Raleigh. Come see for yourself
