I won’t hate on them too much because they’re just not my vibe. This is a good college spot. The floors are sticky and it’s consistently packed with like 15 security guards and tons of people. Maybe I just time it wrong, but all 3 times I’ve been here, there’s been a bar crawl group or something of the sort so it’s like 100 college kids in costumes. Again, not my scene, but most of glenwood south isn’t.
Let in our entire group, half of whom were wearing t-shirts, basketball shorts, and sneakers, before the security guard stopped the one Black member of our party and refused him entry for wearing sweat shorts. The bouncer let in multiple white patrons who were in violation of the dress code and only cared to enforce it for a Black customer. After talking with some friends who have reported similar experiences and reading other reviews posted online, it's clear this is not an isolated incident and that Milk Bar has a tradition of racial profiling.

I was there Saturday night and my wallet was stolen while I was on the dance floor. When I told the bouncers about it they threw me out instead of helping. It was a horrible experience.
One of my favorite bars on Glenwood South! I’ve been going here for over two years now and can’t believe I’m just now leaving a review. Great music, bartenders, and live music. They have some events throughout the year as well that are always awesome. Highly recommend!
This bar was so fun. We happened to visit on the night they were hosting an Oktoberfest event and loved standing in the bar and listening to the music outside. Pretty busy on a Saturday night, but there was no wait to get in. One less star because the bathroom was probably the most disgusting one I’ve ever been in.
The best bartenders I’ve ever encountered, traveled 8 hours to see family and came across this bar and it’s the best service I’ve ever had. Drinks were perfect and service was quick! The bar tenders interacted with you and made me feel at home! 10/10 if your in Raleigh come here!!!!!!!!

Place is a joke. Ran by racist meat head gym rats. Friend of mine is black, and wasn’t allowed in without explanation. Stay away from this place.
Had such a great experience here! Felt so safe with my girls and had the best time! Bartender Cameron gave us popcorn when we got munchies and took great care of us!!
