probably one of my new favorite areas to eat. we went to pick up dinner last night, the service was great the food is tasty, the place itself is cute. i truly recommend coming here. the portions are a generous size. the menu is huge & a bit overwhelming but it’s nice to have a selection. my only two complaints are the lack of sauce they give (we got one white sauce for two habachi plates) & one of the rolls had wasabi all over. still would eat here though!(food description)shrimp hibachi dinner w/ white rice (photo #1): while the rice serving isn’t as big as we hoped, it was still delicious. there’s zucchini, scallions, & onions within the meat. the dinner also comes with a side salad & miso soup.steak & chicken habachi dinner w/ no vegetables & fried rice (photo #2): the serving of rice was a lot more generous with this order. the chicken & steak were cooked & seasoned perfectly. again, the dinner comes with a side salad and miso soup. they also gave two shrimp & noodles.happy roll (photo #1): fried on the outside with cream cheese, avocado, & crab meat on the inside with spicy mayo on top (we may have missed some). the roll was good, would recommend.salmon poke bowl (photo #3): the best. the bowl itself came with rice, avocado, your choice of fish, seaweed salad, crab salad, cucumbers & fish eggs. the fish was drenched in a slightly sweet sauce. it came with a sauce & miso soup. so delicious, the fish was fresh & buttery.salmon sushi rolls (photo #3): standard seaweed wrapped around salmon & rice. super delicious, again fresh & buttery. not fishy at all either.
The food was decent. Not my favorite but what a nice little quaint spot.
This little gem has a wonderfully complex menu of Japanese cuisine. While the hibachi grill section is currently not staffed with a chef as of this posting, their full menu is still on offer, including their items normally served in the hibachi style. So, it does not reduce the menu.We loved their soft shell crab. The miso soup was great. I also tried the tilapia which was moist and very delicious. We also had their sweet tea which was just as tasty as chic filet. FYI they do not serve coffee, but they do have beer choices. The intricate wooden carvings surrounding each table and paper wall sectioning make you feel like you've wandered into a cultural alcove separate from the town it's in.The food came out so fast, and every bite was delicious! Easy 5 stars and will go back again!
A quick google search brought us here tonight. Truly did NOT disappoint. The sushi was amazing & staff was extremely welcoming. Will be a regular staple for date night moving forward!
Chaos! I really wanted to like this place especially being I drove 8 miles out of my way to go here! I got the hibachi chicken and steak with spicy yellowtail and spicy salmon. The price was 40 dollars for this so I expected great food but it turned out to be just average so basically I paid kanki prices for not even kanki average good. (To be fair kanki isn't incredible either but I'm comparing the two because of the price) I understand being short staffed but it didn't appear this place has much structure, I wasn't done ordering when the guy cut the ticket and since he isn't used to running the register had to get the woman I assume is the manager, this happened when I was in line waiting too, the cashier even asked us in line to sit at the bar since he couldn't figure out the register ringing process with the customer in front of us. The manager knowing this should have just stayed and took all the orders instead of running off to wherever she went. (Later she did end up running the register as I was leaving). On to the food, it was okay I could have gotten hibachi at half the price from some other place and it would have been just as good! The sushi was merely okay nothing special here, I could write lines and lines more of what wasn't great about my experience but the last thing I'll say is if you have a shrimp allergy or just don't like to eat shrimp this place probably isn't for you as there was some shrimp in with my steak and chicken. A severely disappointing experience!
I've been here twice so far & the food is so, so good! There is a ton of great looking stuff on the menu that I want to try in the future. So far I've had their sushi & tempura vegetables. I have nothing bad to say about this place. So glad I discovered them!
Let me start by reminding our waitress she was amazing. Now, let's get down to the experience itself. This place has been impacted by covid heavily as well as staff shortages, but they are amazingly prompt. You may have some experiences with inaccuracies with your orders even while dining in.Please be patient! I believe at least from our first experience here they had only one cook, one cashier, one sushi chef, and one waitress while we were there. Our waitress took our orders by memory and she is elderly so there were some flaws but she was great so please don't think what occurred put me off of this place in the least. The traditional hibachi experience of sitting around the flattop grill with others due to covid is not a option so you have a more traditional restaurant experience while still getting the hibachi menu most are use to at these establishments.I ordered the filet and chicken but I received a filet and shrimp. More on that in a moment. Portion sizes were excellent. I got the standard soup, salad with ginger dressing, fried rice, noodles, filet mignon and the aforementioned shrimp.I also ordered 6 pieces of sashimi which were tuna mackerel and red snapper. The sashimi was great excellent size cuts and presentation. My meal had some flaws and some surprises. Most establishments that are similar to this that I have visited do not offer noodles so big +1 for this. Loved the fried rice, I appreciate the egg in it a great deal. Why I rated it 4 stars vs giving it 5 is that this establishment does not take allergies into consideration with their meal prep. Yes, I know cross contamination can occur but at least give me the option to remove as much risk as possible.I did not get vegetables which normally comes included in a hibachi meal and I'm deathly allergic to mushrooms. I did not get the option to remove them being their vegetables are premixed and cannot be substituted.I also have a shrimp allergy, not as bad as the mushroom one so when I received a heaping side of shrimp with my order I was a bit put off by this. Our waitress, mind you, elderly and took our order completely by memory had everything perfect but this. She made amends she had a cook make me a side order of chicken to go when she inquired why I didn't eat the shrimp.I really loved her personality and her sincerity and concern when she realized the error she made and appreciate the effort.Great food, love the sushi a lot but if you have allergies you might want to stay clear of this one.
Wow. The specialty rolls here are fantastic! Actually, all of the sushi we ordered was pretty great. Highly recommend, and we're definitely coming back to try the Ramen. Also, the lunch specials look amazing and are decently priced. Service was excellent, too!
Quite an expensive meal for the lack of caring that my tuna was so tough you couldn’t chew itShe asked how the meal was, I told her(she could see half chewed two pieces of tuna on my plate) and she didn’t seem surprised or cared a bitAlso Beware the cucumbers are hard as a rock and the tuna rolls are just ground down bad quality tunaCovid obviously has put a damper on food quality since the place is always empty. Not a great sign of quality sushi. You need turnover and customers to have a sushi place with quality fish. Sorry never rate but this one needed to be sharedBut my now for the positive had a great evening with friends and the Sapporo was excellent but only 2 frosted glasses lol (we were the only people there lol)Should have chose the Mexican option
I'm not sure why this place is still open. This is the nasty ? food I've ever had. Complete waste of money. I ordered some miso soup and it tasted like old chicken grease. LIKE HOW DO U MESS UP SOUP? My husband actually ordered the chicken wings and couldn't finish the first wing. WE WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN.
