Great meal all around!! Food quality and service were phenomenal. The pri$$e was a bit on the high side but did feel good overall based on the food quality.
33rd Anniversary
Awesome food, great service, cocktails were delicious
Excellent food and service - from the hostess to our waitress- it was lovely
Two family birthdays. Justâ¦meh. Not as special as it once was.
We have not dined at Mandolin since their fist year of business. It was a pleasant reintroduction and will definitely put this on a regular rotation.
Overall, our brunch was a nice experience. The menu is good.......not much vegetarian /vegan options though. Food is good, though plates could have been plated a tad better for the level of restaurant. Service was excellent though and would recommend for brunch. Wanting to try it for dinner next
Great food and service, first time with this awesome dining experience in North Carolina
My experience was great. Enjoyed the food, service and the atmosphere. The sever was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided good recommendations. I will likely dine again, next time trying the brunch.
Since moving to Raleigh-Durham, there haven't been that many times when I was enjoying a dinner at a beautiful restaurant with loved ones where I looked around me, and thought, "Yes. THIS." Our dinner last night at Mandolin was one of those near-spiritual experiences when the food, the people, and the atmosphere take on such significance that you know you will always remember. Once upon a time, I did more serious food/wine writing back in my home state of Texas, but I've since chosen to focus on more steady work in high tech. Mandolin is so special that I really want to call on my former writing endeavors to narrate the experience as best I can while staying brief. So here goes: the atmosphere - minimalist and soothing; the food - elegant, nuanced, and inspired; the service - professional and friendly. This was the last fine-dining experience we shared with our daughter before her two-year move to Germany, and I'm so glad Mandolin was the place where we chose to acknowledge this special moment. Thank you, Chef Sean, and our server for gifting us with a lovely dinner. I know it might sometime feel like just "another day in the office" for you, but like the late, great Kerry Simon once told me, when people put their knees under your table and you cook for them, you create a community. That's what you do for us here in Raleigh, and we all felt it.
