I did NOT appreciate the fact that my party was subject to a chef who was in training. No show or fun at all. For the money spent on a Friday night, this really irked me. Unacceptable. I understand that chefs need training, but on a Friday night? The floors are incredibly greasy and the fear of slipping and falling is real.
Great service and food was awesome as well. Been awhile since Iâve been there but was well worth it.
We were dining here primarily for the experience but there really was none for our table. We had about a 40 minute wait from our reservation time until someone took our drink orders and meal orders were also taken at that time. Our cook came out about 15 minutes later and just verified our orders and started cooking. Other tables around us had cooks that were very entertaining and having fun but our cook seemed like he really just hated his job. Shortly after the meal was cooked and tossed on our plates, the cook packed up and left with a nod. The food was fantastic and perfectly flavored. When it was time for dessert, our checks were placed in front of us rather than any dessert menu so we just paid and left. The entire experience felt rushed like a busy fast food restaurant. Iâd like to try the Crabtree location to see if that one is managed any better than this location. I understand that a lot of establishments have staff shortages and I do hope that this location can find better ways to motivate and encourage their staff to allow customers to have a better experience.
We were promptly seated at our time reserved with a wonderful family. Shortly the waitress came received our orders. Chef Victor warmly greeted all at the table and confirmed our orders and graciously entertained us. He was very engaging and mindful of every request. By the end of the time the family we sat with felt like family as we shared such a wonderful experience. We found new friends and this wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the atmosphere, the ambiance set at Kanki. We all agreed the Kanki North Market is like no other. Thank you such a great time. - Sharon
RIC was a great chef, funny too. Our food was so excellent. Our waiter was nice too but I don't remember her name. overall, great bday dinner for my boyfriend. We will definitely be back. Thank you
I went here for my daughter birthday...and I put this with the reservation and I stated this when we were asked was this a special occasion. We got nothing for her birthday, not even a mention. As well as the whole table not getting refills until we had to beg like thirty dogs. Definitely will rethink going here again.
Food was fantastic. We usually go 4 times per year and it is always good but our chef was exceptional this time and the food was outstanding.
My daughter and I ordered the filet and shrimp and our friend ordered the sirloin. The filet was chewy and tough and tasted the same as the sirloin. I was very disappointed. The waiter was great though. We didnât send back our food as we were treating our friend and didnât want to embarrass her, but we wonât be back.
This place is not the same. The staff are just plain unreasonable. When a customer comes in and picks their seat at the grill(which they allow you to do) they now make you move. . . . .even if you were there first??? What type of customer service is that? Lol. Very poor customer service. I came here with my child and got here early, and waited, so that we could have the seat we wanted, and they make you move. Again, what sense does this make? The manager tried to justify it by saying that the other party had a reservation, but I heard them checking in and they did NOT have a reservation. I don't think there was any reason to resort to lying. But hey, this is the type of customer service that you receive here. Be aware. It is not fair.
Everything was amazing
