Indoor and outdoor seating accompanied by friendly staff and amazing food. Hands down the seaweed salad and Black Panther sushi roll was absolutely delicious! They have specials on by more than one roll like the 5 for $55. The service was quick and professional, amazing place!

If you were to ask me where to get the best sushi in Raleigh, I would immediately say Kai with zero hesitation. I discovered this restaurant with my family a couple years ago & no matter how many new places I try, they just don’t compare. With amazing 3 & 5 roll specials, the Crazy K & Shrimp Tempura rolls are always my go to. Their flavor combinations are harmonious with the perfect rice to filling ratio & sauces. The Piano, Angry Tuna, & Dark Knight are also other notable rolls loved by friends who’ve tried Kai per my recommendation. This is the place that made me realize I actually enjoy raw fish & the place my grandpa ordered from every single day for a year straight until he passed from cancer. The one flaw I would say is that their phone service is always busy & you have to call around 30 times in a row just to get through (sometimes more). I don’t mind, however, because I believe their food is worth it. This is a restaurant that you find yourself randomly craving & thinking about. Here’s to many more rolls?

I love this place but the price has been going up and the rolls sometimes taste different. Rolls have gotten a little smaller and quality is not the same. Especially the Ra Ra roll and the surf and turf. Definitely worth a visit. Even with higher price this is still one of the better sushi roll places in town. 55$ for 5 quality rolls is still good to split. I have been a long time customer

Their food is absolutely delicious. The stuffed avocado, bento box and all of their sushi rolls are great! We go to this restaurant frequently. Sometimes it takes a while to get the food but it is worth the wait!

When I lived in Raleigh, this was a regular place for me. Always, always, always a great meal. Fish is always fresh, the serves are great and the atmosphere is a quaint place to enjoy some good sushi. Definitely get the fresh wasabi.

Had a great night out with my partner. The server was incredibly nice and the food was great! We got the Chef's Choice sushi entrée and the dinner Bento and both were delicious.

Cheaply made sushi and not good! We got 4 rolls and didn’t like any of them. The rolls that had “crab” were stuffed with disgusting fake Krab and hardly any of the other stuff that was supposed to be in the roll. Oh and we waited over an hour for our rolls while other random tables got theirs when we were sat before them. The table next to us had also been waiting for a long time and complained as well. We will never try this place again! Grocery store sushi is better than anything we got here!

This is my favorite sushi spot in the triangle. I’ve tried several places, many recommended, but this one is the one I keep wanting to come back to. Their prices are very reasonable and the sushi is perfect. In the past five years I’d say I’ve been here about 20+ times (dine in and take out) and I have never once had a bad experience. The variety of sushi is nice and the quality is always very high and prepared to perfection. Service has never been a problem either. Indoor and outdoor dining is lovely, with a good vibe to the place for something casual or a nice night out. I’m a repeat customer and will continue to be!

Absolutely delicious!! We got miso soup, seaweed salad, unagi nigiri, and 5 rolls- Hidden Dragon, Raleigh Pop, Darth Vader, Diablo, and Screaming O. Everything was incredible! Perfectly balanced, fresh, just so good. We will definitely be back!

Food is AMAZING! Venue is cozy and clean. My only complaint is that they have not done anything to make it easier to order take away during this difficult time: no online ordering available, and several times I have called during operating hours, no one answered the phone. I do realize that patience and being flexible is necessary right now. However, if a business wants to stay in business during these chaotic times, then modernizing and organizing the way one does business is key.
