I order takeout at this establishment at least once a week. They messed up my order and would not refund nor make something else as I requested. Their response was “just take it home and eat it”. If I wanted to keep it, I would not have driven 5 miles back to show them the issue with my food. Ex-Customer.
If your looking for a good go to Chinese food place this is it. This has been my families regular spot for a couple years now and they never disappoint. It’s almost always busy around dinner time and the kitchen staff works like a well oiled machine. The orders come in fast and they go out fast. They always double check the orders before going out and all of the staff are always friendly and happy. Take it from a chef, go there.
If you are from New York or Detroit you will like the Chinese at this place. NC Chinese is different from up north and this one reminds me more of the Chinese food in Michigan, but no Almond Boneless Chicken! Can't find that down here!
I live within walking distance of this place, and the 2 times that I've tried it, there was hair in my food BOTH times. The first time was when I first moved here around 7-8 years ago. The 2nd time, unfortunately I thought I'd give it another chance and it happened AGAIN. This time when I called in, they told me that it must have been my hair, and hung up on me. ? Never again. Now, even though this place is literally in my backyard, we drive 20 minutes away for Chinese food.....without the hair.
First time visit - Excellent experience!Service was top-notch, from ordering (especially with a special order b/c we requested no mushrooms) to restaurant in-store pick up.The restaurant has an “A” sanitation rating. The restaurant was clean and orderly despite the kitchen staff being very busy. Staff was very friendly and courteous. The food was hot upon arriving home. The order was correct. Food was fresh, delicious, and made-to-order with generous portions. We’ve decided that we now have an established take-out restaurant for Chinese food.Order:Egg drop soupWonton soupEgg rolls (small, but it was plenty)Beef with Garlic sauceMoo shu porkThank you Jumbo China — Leland Dr location.
General tso chicken was hard n crusty. The broccoli was straight out of the fridge hard. The beef and broccoli beef had the consistency of soft gum. Lady was arguing with a customer about an order he placed instead of just going ahead and taking an order for him
I used to love this place. But sometimes they get over on their food. I had to order a large beef and broccoli just to get the meat. But what they did was they feel my beef and broccoli with broccoli only very few pieces of meat and I paid about $13 for broccoli. The lady said it's always the same I know it's not I because I'd take pictures and you can see that my whole entire dish is filled with mostly broccoli. She told me I have to pay more for extra meat. But something telling me if I pay more for extra meat I'm going to get more broccoli.
Call and plan well ahead if you want some of this delicious food. Best in the area and they always are either crowded or have a wait. The food is certainly worth it and you can tell the folks are busting tail to get the food cooked and out the door as fast as possible.
Very good food and service. They were busy so it took a little while but I did not mind
All the classic take-out dishes you expect, big portions and reasonably priced, made hot to order in woks behind the counter. Just the kind of place I hoped for to satisfy a craving for Chinese take-out. They claim to be "New York style," which as a former New Yorker City resident, I can confirm to be accurate to how I remember hole-in-the-wall take out restaurants in the City, both in terms of food and ambience, complete with the obligatory grid of faded menu photos above the counter. The place was packed when I arrived and ordered on a busy Saturday night and yet they were cranking out orders in a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend calling ahead and ordering since it is pretty small inside.
