Good coffee, when they have what you want. I usually get drip coffee around lunchtime. Typically they are out of The Classic, which is very popular. Apparently do not brew new pots in the afternoon. Maybe this is some kind of money-saving measure? When it's out and you ask for it, they refuse to brew more. And, just so you know, the 12 oz and 16 oz brew coffee costs the same: $3.80. One more thing: if you say you don't need room for cream, they add more hot water to your cup, not more coffee! Saw it with my own eyes.
I tried the almond latte and it was really great, seems like the flavor is made in house from almonds. I also like the complimentary Friday espresso. Good to have a shop to drink out of mugs with plates, im case we spill some.
Convenient location for Aloft guests. Great food and drinks. Amazing and friendly staff! All for a worthy cause.
Great place to grab a bite for breakfast or lunch. I got a biscuit even though it was labeled as "sweet", and a pour over it was definitely worth it! The staff is super friendly, just make sure you don't come in and stand at the end of the line, it's fairly easy to do. Grab your food and have a seat with a beautiful view of Henry Square and the Memorial Clock Tower to watch the world go by for a minute. If you're like me you'll enjoy the background noise of people having conversations and traffic on the street, if not grab a seat inside and just chill for a minute.
Took my mother and daughter here for breakfast. They were visiting from PA. The environment was welcoming and decor was esthetically pleasing. For being a coffee joint it was disappointing to have such limited size selections, but the latte (12oz) was good. The biscuit menu was intriguing. We each ordered a breakfast sandwich. The online menu states "fried" egg. The sandwiches came out with eggs that were definitely over medium, if not over easy. When you're not expecting the mess that comes with it, it made for a very displeasing experience. The flavor of the bacon egg and cheese sandwich was good. Both my mother and daughter stated that the taste of the sausage was not "normal". I'm a restaurant manager. Been in the industry for almost 30yrs. This will not be a top 3 choice in the area nor a place I recommend.
Their ham egg and cheese sandwich on a drop biscuit????? DELICIOUS! Honestly the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Their drop biscuits with any of their spreads are to die for and the iced chai lattes are great, totally recommend
I am very excited this place opened. The food and coffee are wonderful. This is a new go to for a breakfast biscuit! Staff is also very nice.
We were staying at the Aloft next door and had lattes and breakfast. The customer service was top notch! Lattes were amazing, some of the best we've ever had. Biscuits were delicious. Great vibe. We almost didn't go as it was pretty nondescript from the outside, but so glad we did.
Courteous staff, tasty coffee but still a few bugs to work out. as far as cafes go this one is quite comfortable and offers a nice view of hillsboro street with a post modern furnishing that being said be ready to simply sit and read and sip coffee because the wifi is non existent and the staff are adept as baristas not IT Help, this is a cafe for relaxing or meeting a cute date not getting work done.
I liked this place a lot. Such a great atmosphere, definitely a good spot for Sunday coffee, especially on the sunny day. The only thing I wish is for them to have more vegan options. I think it's really lacking especially for the place in such location.
