So glad this place has improved the brunch menu over the past couple of years. I'm still not a fan of smoked deviled eggs, but otherwise this place is so good and the experience is unique! I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. They even make the sausage in house. This southern girl has had this dish tons of times at different places, but this by far is the best. The owner is also an excellent human being and amazing to her employees. It's rare to find someone like this in the restaurant industry.
Such a cute spot got brunch. I had the chicken and waffles with an iced latte. The food was great and my server was fantastic! They do take reservations and parking is super easy. They have options to eat inside and outside.
We came from out of town for a concert and decided to try Hummingbird on our way back home. We visited on Mother’s Day at lunch time and were surprised to be immediately seated outdoors by a heater. The service was great, but the food lacked flavor and we didn’t think the restaurant lived up to the hype. The biscuits and gravy weren’t actually on a biscuit, it was more like a burnt flatbread. The grits are very clumpy, grainy, and overall flavorless without the cheese. The burger was cooked nicely, but there was no flavor despite the high quality meat. The home fries we cooked properly but had no seasoning. We also ordered a Thai tea - it had no cream/milk and was essentially sugar water… and the golden milk latte is okay. We had very accommodating service. Overall, nothing had a good taste and we didn’t even come close to finishing anything we ordered.
It was pretty ok but for the hype I was just a little underwhelmed after excitedly looking forward to brunch here. The Blood Mary came with no pickled veggies like it said on the menu though my particular Life Hack cocktail was excellent. One of the eggs on the huevos rancheros (meant to be over easy) was over cooked so no nice runny yoke and there was nothing particularly unique to their take on this dish. My monte cristo was good but I’ve had better. The cheese grits were just ok but at least a good sized portion. Perhaps it’s just what we ordered or maybe staff was just exhausted during a busy time. I’d go back especially to try dinner instead but just with different expectations
Delicious! Came here with a group of people and everyone loved it! I ordered the shrimp and oyster po’boy and it did not disappoint! Can’t wait to go back!
We went for brunch on Easter Sunday. The staff was friendly, drinks were fresh and delicious, food was super flavorful. Be sure to grab an order of the Riccotta Fritters they are a MUST! The best chicken and waffles I have ever had! One of thee tastiest brunch spots in Raleigh! Make reservations so your sure to have a seat as this location is smaller.
Incredible food, fastidious staff and charming chef. The epitome of good eats.
Great brunch spot! So tasty!
Recently hosted a dinner party for a larger group. The staff and coordination were extremely professional. Food and drinks are excellent. Highly recommend!!
Phenomenal! The menu, atmosphere, and service were amazing. We got the Charbroiled oysters and they were impressive!
