I was beyond happy and hopeful we were going to have a great meal. Server was excellent and had a small family run feel. The ginger dressing was fantastic and the couple sushi rolls we shared including the scallop sushi was very very good. Why only 3 stars? You would think we were in an entirely different restaurant based on the next course. We ordered hibachi chicken with fried rice. The hibachi was flavorless and underwhelming. The fried rice really deserved them a 2 star rating. I am 52 years old and it was truly the worst fried rice oily flavorless and tasted almost uncooked...yet the peas and veggies in there were pale and decrepit. They clearly have an excellent sushi chef, but need to up their game with the kitchen side.
Great Japanese food with friendly service and great value
The service is excellent. The various rolls we ordered were excellent. Because of certain food allergies, substituting/leaving certain things out of the rolls were no problem. There are many so choices of the various rolls it is hard to pick just one... An excellent place for sushi!

Must have been an off night because usually the food is great. This time fish was not very fresh and pieces were thin. Spending $200 on take out for NYE and getting this quality stings. Probably not going back.
Love this place. Perfect place to hang out after work or during the weekend. Just make sure you pay attention to how much you are spending, can get a bit pricey
Sushi has gone downhill and prices gone up. Tonight my $30 sushi order was not put together well; uneven cuts, filling falling out. They also didn't give me my extra ginger I asked for. Won't be returning
A true gem of a Sushi restaurant! We sat up at the sushi bar. Treatment was Royal! The Bluefin Tuna was excellent!
Got the habachi steak and shrimp. The steak was like shoe leather (couldn't chew through it), the shrimp were tough and rubbery. If you're looking for the flavors you normally see in hibachi don't look here. The stir fry was smothered in green peppers and the fried rice flavor was bizarre. Profoundly disappointed.
This Japanese Restaurant in North Raleigh is locally owned with an attractive interior with Japanese Decor. Ordered Shrimp Hibachi. It was very well presented and the portion size was large and there was plenty of shrimp and a good variety of vegetables. They also give you a generous portion of shrimp sauce. Really outstanding value for lunch. Service was pleasant and polite and timely. The staff thanks you when you leave. Overall a very nice experience in a true Japanese Restaurant with all Japanese staff.
