This was the best sushi I have had in a long time! Prices were good too. I'm from out of town but I'll definitely come back here if I come back.
Pretty good service and sushi, I went during lunch time and lunch specials were very reasonable price
People really talk about other places because they are bigger or "they have bogo!" but people should realize if it's airways bogo it isn't a special or a deal. Hako is run by actual Japanese people and they are true sushi chefs. The food is excellent. The setting is intimate. They make some amazing sushi dishes. Everything is spectacular. If a fish isn't in season they don't sell it. The fish is extremely fresh. It has been my go to place for years and that isn't going to change anytime soon.
Absolutely delightful service, sushi, and prices. Unique, creative, surprising rolls you can't get anywhere else. WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? GO NOW
We have always loved Hako for sushi and have been going for years! It has the best sushi and friendly service. Sushi gets a 5 star. However For some reason they are not opening their restaurant up for dining post covid. Sushi is just not the same eating for take out as it is at the bar. Many fried rolls are not good once put in a Styrofoam container. Limiting their business to only take out has definitely deterred us from going. We hope they will reopen dining in the future.
Went in to order not friendly at all.Ordered two rolls for a snack.She went over with gloves on that she just handled money with and put my sushi order together after the chef made them?There is a virus going around! Hello!She didn't even say thank you after I paid her for the order either!Not only that but the rice was dry and not sticky as other sushi places I've ordered from.They gave me a small cup of soy sauce that wasn't even enough for two rolls!It was the worst sushi place that I have ever been to.I got out of my car and threw it out!Disgusting!There are much better places near by than this place for sure!Never going back!

Have not found better sushi than here, at Hako in the entire Triangle area. I've literally traveled all over the world and eaten sushi in many countries and cities. This place is in my top 5 of worldwide sushi places I've eaten at. And I've eaten at places where I was only one of two or three non-Japanese people at the restaurant. It's a small place with a loyal customer following for all the right reasons. And year over year the quality and freshness of the fish, and friendliness and professionalism has consistently been at high levels.
I've been to this restaurant at least 10 times, and this most recent visit will be my last. I called to order and was told it would take 15 minutes. However, I learned it was really more like a *two-hour wait* when I arrived. In other words, the staff lied to me over the phone regarding the wait. This is atrocious service and I can assure you most everyone in line will think twice about visiting this restaurant again. I, for one, will never be back.
best sushi’s here..I have tasted for the first time ..and its so good!
