Website shows open with no special holiday hours, and online ordering accepted my order I was picking up to bring to my parents. Drove all the way here to find you’re closed. Three others were there to pick up orders they had also already paid for. Terrible experience and emails sent requesting a refund go to a non-deliverable email address.
Always busy, always hopping. The food is always good. The railroad like set up of the location can make it a little bit cramped. And the staff, who have always been polite and appeared hard-working, I've gotten orders wrong for us a couple times making us have to wait. Some of this attribute to a kitchen design that doesn't look as efficient as it could be. Some of this I attribute to just how noisy the location is causing errors to happen.
Surely it's just me but, the food just didn't do it for me. I know I had a couple different arepas and, since I don't recall exactly which ones I had, this isn't so much a review as a reminder to self to think twice about returning ; )
Pretty decent and tasty place.got the fried chicken, grilled chicken and really enjoyed it. the cilantro sauce is so deliciousone downside was we got mushrooms added and it made my sandwich super soggy and ripped apart. I recommend the dry fried one the most.i like the outdoor shaded area
The food was good, but the portion of meat as provided was skimpy. For anyone without the App, the board you order from places the details about what you can add to your main protein too far away and too small to see. I am sure this holds up the line significantly. Perhaps a graphic about options could be placed on the wall which could be viewed as you are waiting. It's a 3.5 but I am rounding down.
Affordable and very delicious. I had a bowl with grilled chicken, black beans and plantains. Rice and cheese. Cilantro sauce is amazing not spicy but flavorful. They have a soda fountain machine and offer outside seating. The chicken was very good. They now offer bbq chicken and cripsy chicken. I haven't tried yet but need too. This place does not disappoint.
Awesome arepas! I wish they still served their old slaw. It tasted much sweeter, flavorful, and was why I loved the vegetarian arepa. Bowls are really good too. Best guacamole in town! Their spicy sauce is the way to go!
This is one my favorites places to go to when I’m in town. The Durham location is my absolute favorite , they do no wrong lol however this location was nasty. They have a 87 sanitation grade and I see why. They are sliding the arepas back and forth on that white slab instead of someone slicing the arepa open and then handed it off to someone . The white slab was filthy of course. Bathroom was nasty and out of items . The air vents looked like they haven’t been cleaned in years and trust me , I wasn’t even looking for it , if you look up you see how bad they are . Super disappointed in the cleanliness of the place.
Our first time trying..... definitely recommend. Everything was fresh and delicious. We will be back.
My 1st time there and it was delicious. I'd definitely go back.
