This place used to be our go to spot! We were pretty disappointed with both of our dishes and our appetizers! Apps had MASSIVE chunks of garlic, like make your eyes water sized garlic. And the lamb balls were so dry and thick breaded. Lasagna- why did you change the lasagna boats? They were ooygooey and the sauce was so yum! It also used to have meat? None of that today… just a bowl of weird shells with some tomato paste and some pesto(?). Chicken parm could have broken a window it was so hard and impossible to chew. Please resurrect the lasagna … I miss it.

Thank you for the most amazing birthday experience ever! Our server Shelby was so attentive and gave us amazing recommendations for dessert!

The food was phenomenal. I got the gnocchi and my date had one bite was jealous. He had the bolognese and said you could taste freshness of the ingredients. Our server was very sweet and she did an outstanding job. The random mariachi band moment was definitely the highlight of the night.

The food was really not all that good. We had the calamari to start, with the shrimp fra diavolo as the entree. The calamari was ok, the main course had pasta that felt like an obligation to eat, with shrimp that could have been made by anyone. The food was really not good, and it sat in your stomach like a rock. A disappointing rock that felt like regret. Honestly you are better off going to an Olive Garden for Italian food. We 100% regret deciding to eat here, would not recommend to anyone.

I ordered the Tagliatelle with Bolognese. The sauce wax delicious but the pasta was stuck together. I think it was homemade pasta but the strips were stuck together in double and even triple layers. I had looked forward to my first dinner allowing regular pasta with gluten - only to be disappointed with thick, multi-layer pasta strips.

Not croded but still slow service. Likely attributable to staffing issue

Gravy is a reasonably priced Italian restaurant in downtown Raleigh. Although our food order was initially messed up, the staff was quick and apologetic to remedy it. My favorite thing was probably the limoncello! It’s a nice spot for a small date night. The food is fairly standard, but it’s all prepared well and there’s not much wait time.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Their focus is everyday Italian but it’s all done exceptionally well. The parking deck next door makes getting in and out surprisingly easy, given their location in the heart of Downtown Raleigh.

Great service and food was awesome. We loved the tagliatelle! All apps and entrees were delicious with generous portions. Will definitely be back!

Overall food was average. I don’t recommend shrimp as an upgrade, it was not fresh, but frozen and tasteless. Service made us feel rushed even though we had reservations, polite enough, just constant poor timing. Overall, average experience.
