Excellent food, great service, friendly staff and Outstanding margaritas!

Consistently great food, service and atmosphere for many years! My go to order is the pollo tacos with soup. Last night the tacos were exceptionally good. They were cooked perfectly with so much chicken and avocado they wouldn’t even close. They made for delicious leftovers for lunch today.

Best Mexican Restaurant in Raleigh, NC. Consistently high quality food and service. Only place I know of where the OWNER personally checks each table and asks about your experience.

Wonderful!! I sat in a booth and had a lovely Sunday meal. The service was great and the food was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

We usually love Gonza and the food was as good as ever. The ambiance and service was really poor this time. We chose to sit outside to get an earlier but we were sad at a little table literally in front of a grill of a car at the edge of the sidewalk. For that reason the car emitted even more heat than the already warm day and it was very loud and obnoxious, it really was not a spot a table should have been placed. Furthermore, we were sat behind a tree in a planter and for some reason the server cannot remember we were back there so he literally never came around! The seating and service was REALLY bad. We debated getting up and leaving before we ordered because service was non existent but figured it would take too long to get in anywhere else on a Friday.

From scheduling my reservation, to the amazing food and service to the special birthday surprise our lunch was AMAZING!

Great food! Fun atmosphere! We sat outside under a roof and it was comfortable. Older patrons or physically challenged people be careful- it’s not a flat surface. Very well staffed but pretty loud so we got a few wrong drinks! Will go back often!

Excellent as always. Loved our server. He was perfect

Quick summary: delish Mexican food of the Tex-Mex variety. Friendly, professional service. "Day of the Dead" mannequins decorate the place. Reasonable prices. We visited some friends in this area while on a road trip. they suggested this place as a good casual option. (It was a busy weekend, with many colleges having their graduation ceremonies.) The menu has a wide variety of mostly Tex-Mex options, with mains generally priced in the $teens and accompanies by sides like rice/beans. Starters & apps are generally under $10 into the $teens. No beers on tap, but the Negro Modelo was $6, and a good pour of wine by the glass $8. Between my husband and i, and the other couple, we sampled a variety of dishes -- fajitas with chicken, Chile Relleno, and Flautas, all $15 for each main with the accompanying sides. We started by splitting the guac, and also enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa. Everything was very tasty and fresh-tasting. Friendly, professional service. The casual room of tables and booths has a of Day-of-the-Dead decor. While kind of fun, you decide if your young kiddo would have problems with that. Friendly, professional service throughout. So, we'd be happy to be back when next in the area, and wish a place like this was closer to where we live.

Great food and service!
