Food was great, ambiance was soothing, visually pleasing, nicely seasoned food, customer service is great. It is nice to have a variety of food options that you can't find every where. I highly recommend!
Good food, comfortable atmosphere
I guess I'm a Fatty now. Ordered the Fatty Fries and they were simply delicious. The Fatty burger really surprised me. I saw mac and cheese but didn't expect actual homemade really good mac and cheese on the burger. Add bacon and Fatty sauce and wow. Will definitely return many more times. Also try the virgin daiquiris
Had FatBoys come out for a special function at our corporate office, and it was a great success! Fantastic food and great customer service. Very professional and all served with a smile! Well done, would highly recommend!
Don't come if you're in a hurry. Food quality isn't too consistent. However, whoever designed the inside of the restaurant did a great job. They do a good job at keeping the lobby clean as well. I think they would be super successful if they could pick up the service quality. Great potential.
Fatboys kitchen was at the Food truck rodeo in Raleigh NC today. This is the first time I wish I HAD NOT eaten at a food truck EVER. Not only was the food underwhelming, the portions were very small for the price. (Lots of fries but few shrimp and half cut fish pieces) There were no posted prices. To top it off, the lady who delivered our food had an attitude when telling us that they had NO NAPKINS. Who takes there own napkins to a food truck rodeo? How are ppl supposed to wipe their hands and mouths after eating your food? I try to support but this was ridiculous. We have $$$ to spend but we don't waste it I will remember $15 for snacks and no napkins.
My family and I came didn’t enjoy the food at all. When I see a restaurant called Fat Boys Kitchen, I’m expecting for the food to be amazing but that’s not what we got. I had the surf and turf Philly and the Philly meat was dryer than a desert there wasn’t any onions on the Philly had to ask for some cooked onions on the side. The food wasn’t well seasoned it was really bland. My daughters chicken strips were burnt or they were cooked in old grease. My husband said the burger didn’t seem like a Fresh made burger. He compared it to a frozen burger. My Daughters shrimp and fries wasn’t seasoned at all, they taste like they were put in batter and fried. I didn’t feel any love in this food. This was our first and last time at this places, we wasted $51
My husband and I patronize black owned businesses. On 5-1 we visited the restaurant and ordered Shrimp and wing platter and Fish and shrimp platter. According to the menu on line it states that you will receive10 jumbo shrimp and 5 wings and 2 fish and 8 jumbo shrimp for $15 each. Well we received only 8 shrimp and 3 wings and 2 fish and 5 jumbo shrimp. To make it WORSE we were overcharged. We spent $40 without drinks and did not receive any eating utensils. The food was overcooked and over priced. We will NOT patronize this establishment again. Do yourself a favor DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
Heard of this place off tiktok. I made a last minute trip to visit my son and we ended up going. Nice vibe of the restaurant. Delicious burgers and I loved their onion rings. Their daiquiris are non alcoholic fyi so slightly disappointing.
Outdated practices and bland food:I’m guessing their food trucks do well because I don’t know if the restaurant is going to make it:- Called to place a pickup order because they have no way to order ahead online.- The girl who answered the phone sounded like she didn’t want to be there.- Had to give a credit card number over the phone because they won’t take pickup orders without pre-paying. Not secure to have to give out my card # over the phone.- I ordered a crab and shrimp boil, fat boy seasoning, mild (not spicy). I guess no spicy means no seasoning at all. I had to add my own old bay and minced garlic at home. You can see from my photo there is no seasoning on the corn or anything else. I ordered a fried shrimp plate before and that was seasoned so the bland seafood boil was a surprise.The two stars are I did give were because my order was correct and the hushpuppies are great. Best thing on the menu.
