Friendly staff and a much better tasting chocolate than other stores in Raleigh. Tried several different flavors of truffles and all had excellent flavor and a smooth creamy ganache. Will definitely go back!

We are lucky to have this wonderful place in the triangle! The chocolate quality is truly legendary. It makes a wonderful hostess gift, birthday present or just simply reward yourself.

The chocolates here are not only a work of art, but incredibly delicious! Try the cheese plate truffle, it was like the perfect bite of charcuterie in chocolate! It sounds a bit crazy, but it’s amazing!

I tried their peanut butter hot chocolate. It's was pretty good but they may have used too much peanut butter.

There are two bean-to-bar chocolate shops in Raleigh and you can't go wrong with either one, but as someone who lives in the area I much prefer Escazu. It has a warmth and adventurous spirit I like. They regularly rotate in new menu items as well as offering truly traditional chocolate drinks (cornmeal, chilis, jasmine, and honey all featured regularly in pre-Columbian chocolate drinks) which is to say nothing of their more contemporary hot chocolate which I describe as "life-changing" to anyone who will listen. The owner traces her familial roots back to Venezuela, so much of the cacao comes straight from there! My highlights:- Chocolate covered marshmallows- Plain hot chocolate (frothed, as is tradición)- Xochiaya drink- Piaroa bar (Wild harvested cacao trees! Cool!)- Pepitas and Chili (pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate make for amazing hiker food)PS. much of their offerings, such as ice cream, are made with dairy-free alternatives like oat milk, many of their other options (like lattes and hot chocolate) offer both dairy and non-dairy oat milk

Outstanding variety of beautiful hand painted chocolates

Cute little shop offering a good assortment of single-origin bean-to-bar chocolates and truffles. All of the truffles I got were very good. Everyone was very nice and the shop was neat and clean. I'd happily come back to try a bar or a drink.

Escazu has been making chocolate in Raleigh longer than Videri has. They're not as centrally located as Videri but their chocolate is more intricately made. Both are good. I love Escazu for beautifully made truffle confections, their different historical chocolate recipes, their interesting and cool flavors and, most recently, I discovered, their ice cream! And, I learned that one of their flavors is dairy-free. And they make ice cream push-pops, how cool is that. You gotta find this spot. It's a true gem of Raleigh. You're most likely not going to happen to drive by.100% worth a visit

An amazing array of delicious and beautiful chocolates. Some of them look too pretty to even eat. Truly for the indulgent connoisseur of high quality items. The staff was super knowledgeable about chocolate from the ingredients, to the process, and the nuances that make this chocolate a cut above the rest. Highly recommended and a destination location if you love sweets.

Once you try Escazú chocolates, you really can't go back to anything else. I love their use of seasonal fruits and flavors, and appreciate the ever changing selection of confections. My favorite favorite is the chocolate covered marshmallow.Thank you Escazú staff for enforcing mask wearing. As covid rages on, I am more than happy (and very thankful!) to support a local business who is doing their best to keep their staff and patrons safe!
