Not your typical Mexican Restaurant. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Portions aren’t huge, but they are filling. There are many different salsas you can choose from for your bottomless chips (for an up charge). We had the chicken burrito, ACP, and tres leche cake. Service was fast and friendly! We will definitely be back!

We had a mini reunion this afternoon at Driftwood Cantina. The appetizers and meals were served and everyone was very happy and satisfied with their order. Fun, bright, separate room to eat and laugh as loud as we wish without worrying about being disruptive. I'll reserve here again.

Service has always been great, and the bar is creative and generally solid. The food however, is honestly really bland and in desperate need for any sort of flavor or spice. It's actually kind of difficult to say anything specifically bad about the food, because it's so blah that it feels like there's nothing there to even comment on. Like, I'm eating mushrooms and sweet potatoes and corn on top of a tortilla, but that's about all I could describe; I certainly wouldn't feel like I was eating a taco, rather than a mash of unseasoned separate ingredients. It's like getting Mexican food at Disney World. They want to make it so everyone can eat it without issue that they strip anything unique away from the food so no one can complain.

Absolutely gorgeous cantina! The food is wonderful(we always start with the loaded yucca ), the margaritas are unique and refreshing. And the service is warm, light hearted and welcoming! Busy outdoor patio in beautiful heart of North Raleigh!

The food was well prepared and delicious. The mole for the chicken enchiladas had a sweet cinnamon note and was well balanced in flavor. The steak was tender and properly marinated. The corn tortillas had a great spongy texture and were a great accompaniment for fajitas. The guacamole was a little heavy on the acid/too much lime, but it balanced out the steak pretty well. The salsa with the cactus was definitely refreshing, though there didn’t seem to be as much cactus as bell pepper or jalapeño.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Raleigh!! I cannot stress how much I love going to this place! The food, the atmosphere, the service, the sangria, everything is 5 stars! My sister lives in New York in the heart of Manhattan and goes to many restaurants and she’s in love with Driftwood Cantina too. This is where we go to enjoy our sister time when she visits. I’m very picky about restaurants so when I give 5 stars it means something.

The Mahi Mahi fish tacos were tasty but the pieces of fish were a bit too large for the smaller corn tortillas my preference. More of a note than complaint.

Delicious food and drinks! It was a perfect patio night, not too crazy with kids. Tucked away from the grassy area which we liked. Will be back!

I waited the hour and a half drive home to write this review. All the staff here were awesome. Autumn took care of us and made sure we were happy. The food came out in a timely manner and it was absolutely delicious. I had the skirt steak and it was cooked perfectly to temperature. My buddy got the carnitas and the meat was practically falling apart. Definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. Can't wait to come back.

The ability to remove meat and add vegetarian options is amazing. Very good Mexican food, friendly service, and beyond/impossible options makes this place a favorite in my list.Thank you for making this place accessible to different dietary needs.
