The food was exactly as I remembered it when I was in Malaysia. Our server was very friendly. Food serving was exactly the right portion for me.
Garlic Eggplant is delicious! So happy to see more vegetarian options on the menu.
Great food and hospitality!
We went on a Saturday at 5pm, no wait. Staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. Food was yummy! We ordered the edamame and half fried dumplings, both were good but the entrees were tastier. The lo mein in particular was delicious!! If we go back we’ll order that again and try other dishes. All in all, great experience and our whole family loved the place.
The food was ok, I’m actually slightly disappointed. I was really hoping the bump kings would be good but they came out and were rock hard and every bit of burnt. The waitress was kinda horrid, forgot to put in the dumpling order, no biggie. She also seemed taken aback that the man I was with was indeed paying the whole bill despite the fact that we are married and both have on wedding bands. Again the dumplings were hard as a rock, maybe I miss understood but they were not at all what I was expecting and look nothing like the dumplings I have seen.
I was excited to try this place because I love dumplings. To my surprise there were only 2 dumpling dishes on the menu. I ordered these as small plates and they were good, nothing special. Since there were no more dumpling options we chose generic dishes like fried rice, pad thai and sesame chicken. My son loved his sesame chicken (he's not worldy yet, so make of that what you will), the pad thai was completely tasteless. On the plus side the atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly, but I'm definitely not coming back after spending $100 on food no one really enjoyed.
Me and my girlfriend ordered veggie dumplings crispy spicy pork and shrimp dumpling Malaysian chicken curry and hot and sour soup. First of all, don’t let the old Asian guy in the picture in the restaurant fool you. Every dish tasted like frozen food. My dumplings were little burnt. Couldn’t finish single dish we ordered. No authenticity. I am disappointed at you David.
We tried this place on the recommendation of the many reviews here, but this place was not satisfactory at all. While the ambiance is nice, all of the food is too Americanized to provide any semblance of authenticity. The dumplings are not crispy with a very pedestrian filling. The hunan beef wasn't spicy at all. None of the noodle dishes were very good. The fried rice, at just average, was probably the only dish any of us liked. The iced tea which comes with the noodle dishes was not initially provided to us. We had to explicitly ask for it, as if the server was instructed not to mention it at all. Overall, not a good place to try. Look elsewhere.
My son insisted that we get dumplings for dinner- so to Google we came and found that on a Friday night we can probably get a seat at 7:00. The menu is good- as is the service. The steam buns seemed to be a popular option.
I had not been to David's Dumpling since covid hit, used to love going there. A weekly group went on 12/12 and we had one of the worst dinners in a very long time. Cold soup, meals that were not good and waitress that was only adequate. I doubt we will be going back any time soon.
