The food and service were over the top! Simply love all the dishes!
The food was amazing…. Excellent waiter very attentive. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️?
Hands down, some of the best and most authentic "Italian cuisine " I have ever had. This place is no joke! Staff and owners are consistently providing fantastic service! They willingly accommodate food intolerances/allergies. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant and those run it!!!We have been doing take out from here, 1-4+ times a month during the pandemic. Pizza and calamari mostly (occasionally an entree etc.) Wish they delivered, but honestly they don't need to. Amazing food and amazing staff!
The Best Italian food in Raleigh! We drive 30-40 minutes despite many pizza/Italian restaurants near us! DELICIOUS EVERYTHING! The Grandma pie is unbeatable as well as all the pasta dishes! Highly recommend!
People just do not have taste buds!!! Plain cheese pizza, penne all vodka & fettuccine Alfredo were all thrown out by each member of my family of 4 after 1st bite. I gave it 2stars cause the bread seemed fresh, the gal was very pleasant that brought us our curb side pick up order & it was made very quick (which is prob not the best sign cause it makes us think they put zero effort into preparing the food & just sloped it together quickly)
We didn't have a pleasant experience. Our server would not wear his mask correctly, which made us uncomfortable. Saw him remove his mask and touch his face while serving the table next to us. His demeanor was not pleasant either. Our meals came out seconds after our appetizer. The food was pretty good, but would have had to be a lot better to make up for the service.
I’ve been on a search for the best Neapolitan pizza in Raleigh, and this was one of my stops. If the house salad has fresh GREEN greens (as opposed to WHITE iceberg), there’s a good chance the rest of the food is excellent quality, and this was the case at Cristo’s. I enjoyed a quality house salad with sweet onions, olives, tomatoes, whole peppers, cubes, and an emulsified balsamic vinaigrette.I appreciated our waiter’s sense of humor…we asked for NO BROCCOLI on our veggie pizza. When he presented our pie, he said, “One pizza with extra broccoli!”Now the pizza. It was quality pizza that I would gladly eat again, but I wish the sauce and toppings offered more flavor. Some browning of the veggies, perhaps caramelized onions and a balsamic glaze would have gone a long way. The crust was nicely crisped and thin. Pizza score: 7/10. House salad score: 9/10.Classy atmosphere.
Not a great experience tonight. We were told in the beginning there was only 1 server, so we had could assume it may be slower, but we spent the majority of the evening waiting for refills for water. The more dismal issue was the pizza. My husband had had it several times before, supreme, his favorite. Tonight it was a soggy mess. He ate 1.5 slices before deciding he couldn't go further. He asked to try mine (pepperoni, extra mushroom) which was also soggy. He asked the woman/wait staff why it was so soggy and her explanation was that the supreme will be soggy because of the vegetables, but he has eaten here several times & never had this issue! If it was always soggy why would he order it?? The woman told us that if we wanted it crispy, we should ask for crispy the next time. Really?? Shouldn't it come crispy already? It was not a great customer service response. Making the customer happy is important, especially for a meal he clearly hadn't eaten! We felt like she should have offered to comp the meal, given him another choice, or even offered to put it back in to get crispy. She did nothing. She ONLY said it came that way and to ask for extra crispy next time. He didn't want extra crispy, he just wanted it not soggy, crisp crust like he's had the past times we've eaten here. It's sad when a manager doesn't try to go the extra mile to work it out. Her response wasn't up to par, neither was the pizza or the service tonight. We know all restaurants are struggling, but we felt like her response to bad food should have been more workable. This was not. :-(
I'm disappointed in the food we received tonight. However, because I eat here often and I usually have a good experience, I'm still giving a 5 star.We ordered To-go from here tonight as a family. My wife's wings were overcooked. They didn't seem to be fried fresh either. She had ordered plain fried wings with fries. She couldn't eat her meal.
I got the chicken stromboli and the bread and cheese to it was really good. Too bad the chicken was leftover chicken parm. The chicken was breaded like a store bought chicken nugget, dry and rubbery. I picked it out and ate the rest. Our waitress was very, very good and attentive. My daughter had the Cristo stromboli and it looked good tho.
