We ate at the North Hills location and thought the food was excellent. The Alabama Slammer with Alabama white sauce was SO good. The portions were large and the service was friendly. The restaurant is located in a pleasant shopping area with several parking options within a short walking distance.
One of the busier spots inside the converted warehouse that is Morgan Street Food Hall in downtown Raleigh. Like most food court style venues, you order at a counter, food is made-to-order, and you sit where you want (inside or outside). Here's what we thought:Service: the person working the front counter was super friendly, answered questions intelligently. Definitely A+ service.Food: The burgers are smash-style with super thin patties that are cooked to well-done, usually with lots of cheese. We ordered the Southern Burger, hold the onions. They didn't hold the onions (but, you know, we picked them off, not a problem really). The burger itself was very good, with a scoop of chili and slaw that elevated it. Unlike other chili cheeseburgers, this really had some stand-out seasoning to it. Very good.We also ordered the Quad Burger, cut in half (yes, get it cut in half!). It was four patties piled high in a monstrous cheesy mess. So, I wouldn't necessarily try to eat this one while driving, but bent over the tray? It was a solid choice. Finally, we had the Italiano fries. A large was an abundance. They are seasoned with a mix of rosemary, garlic, parma, and salt. We both agreed that the flavor profile was exceptional. Very good. The amount of seasoning, however, we disagreed on. I thought they were over-seasoned (I said while I kept stuffing them in my mouth) while my wife thought they were perfect as they were. She's probably right. So, our final take? While there are other choices in the Food Hall to check out, we will certainly be back to CowBar.
The burgers were literally amazing, I cannot recommend this spot enough! It's located in the Morgan Street Food Hall, you cant miss it.The signature Cow Sauce is amazing, some of the best flavors I've had on a burger!
OMG!!!!! THIS IS THE BEST BURGER IN NC. HANDS DOWN. If you have never been to Morgan St FOOD HALL. You need to go and GET THIS BURGER. IT'S CALLED THE TRUFFLE BURGER ? ??GO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IT'S LIKE A PEICE OF HEAVEN. Well worth $13 a burger.
Truffle fries were on point!!! They were the best we’ve ever had. The burgers were huge and came with two Pattie’s. The hamburger meant was good and juicy. The prices were good, for two burgers and a large thing of the truffle fries we paid $26. The atmosphere was great as well in a good spot to hang out and get drinks inside or out. This place was also centrally located to everything in downtown Raleigh.
We decided to try the burgers at this place. They're pretty big and tasty! The wait was quite long but the lineup was pretty steady! (15 minute wait for two burgers and drinks). All in all it was worth it. The staff member who served us was quick but friendly. We both ordered a classic burger - hers with bacon on it.
Very good. Gave a 4 star because we like our burgers a little less cooked (more of a medium, not well done). Fries and patty seasoning very good. The staff was very fun, upbeat and friendly. Nice vibe.
truffle fries are amazing. burger is tasty. people are kind
Delicious burgers. Staff is friendly and fast.
We love CowBar! I have tried most of their burgers and all have been very good. At this most recent visit I got the Carolina burger and even though it’s not one of their flashiest burgers it is my favorite. I also got an order of Italian fries and they were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our food came out quickly and everything was prepared exactly as ordered. The only negative was the sodas were totally flat but they fixed the issue quickly and we were able to enjoy our meal without too much delay. The seating at the food hall is almost a deal breaker for me but that’s totally out of the restaurants control. Be sure to grab your seat before you order or you might find yourself without a good place to sit and enjoy the food you just ordered.
