Probably the worst cook out meal I’ve ever had. Please save yourself the disappointment and don’t go here
My boyfriend and I frequent this location for its convenience and close proximity to our home, however, today we had by far the WORST experience ever. We pulled into one of the lanes that seemed to have the least amount of cars thinking that it would be a quick and easy ordering process. It took about 15 minutes to get through the ordering process despite the fact that there was only 2 cars in front of us with small orders. When it came time for us to order we had the hardest time ordering even though our order was simple. We ended up repeating ourselves five or six times and still had to keep correcting the employee when they repeated the order back. While we were ordering, we noticed that the other lane had at least 10 cars order and move forward. It then took us another 10 minutes to actually get our food. All in all we spent 25 minutes in the drive-thru that wasn't actually busy which is nearly double the time it usually takes us.When we finally got home to eat, I was beyond disappointed with what I found in my box. The chicken wrap clearly was haphazardly thrown together. There was very little sauce on it and the chicken tender was a chicken patty that was merely cut in half. The usual melty and delicious cheese was barely melted and the tortilla was raw whereas normally it is cooked. The burger looked like it had half a patty and was so poorly assembled that it was literally falling apart. The steak sauce that was supposed to be on it was all over the wrapper and barely any of it was actually on the sandwich. The tomato on my boyfriend's sandwich tasted like it had already begun to rot.This was just overall a very disappointing experience from a normally well-run establishment.
You can get lots of good food for your money here. There burgers and shakes are great! Service is always fast in the drive through but they ignore me for a while when I walk up to the ordering window upfront, but probably because they don't notice me. It can be hard to get in and out of this location but I won't hold that against them.Bottom line is that they serve good food for cheap and they do it pretty darn fast. I recommend giving it a shot if you haven't.
Terrible service. The girl at the window was rude. I told her what I wanted and no response. I drove to the window and she got an attitude with me. My shake was not mixed up. The peanut butter was still at the bottom. I want a full refund for my food.
Good food. But disappointing they always forget things. Like our drinks they kept stalling and looking at us like it was everything. Be sure before charging people make sure they get all their stuff. If you are going to not read what they ordered and give them wrong order do not charge them because its stealing from your customers their food and hard earned money.People that work there are supposed get free meals not the keep the best darn parts of the customers orders for your meals on lunch breaks. Then if you miss that many orders lets say you do not ring in 10 sodas that go through your line you can pretty much povket that money cause its no on the books. This is the 10th time this place has stolen from me! Im also going to report this to the owners! You should be shut down if you are gonna steal.
It was an unusually long wait today. They are hiring for ALL positions and it felt like it. So sad that it has come to this with all these job openings and yet people say that there are no jobs. Folks are even offering incentives. These poor folks working at Cookout were hustling today and folks love Cookout so much, like my kids, they patiently waited until their turn at the window. The reason for my 3 was for the long wait.
We love cookout, it's our favorite fast food lunch spot, but there is one employee that is often there that ALWAYS messes up our order even after clear and slow annunciation. 5 stars if we don't get that employee since the order is always correct otherwise.
This was the big double with onion rings and hush puppies. I got 5 small rings and 5 hush puppies. I guess that's normal serving size, as the other platter we got had the same amount. Usually at other locations I think I get more rings and definitely larger patties. Everything was made as expected and fine there.
Fries are covered in cheap seasoning. Smelt it all the way to the house. I wish this pic could show you how much salt was on these smh. Beverordering double cajun fries again. PsA if you hate ur job , get a new one.
Once in a while I indulge in some fried food and I come to cook out. I'm always amazed at how consistently efficient the employees inside the small, rectangular drive through are! Most of the time, there are at least a couple of cars waiting, but it never takes more than a few minutes to get some yumminess into your hands (and mouth)! I love the variety and the prices are unreal. I recommend their onion rings, cheese bits, corn dogs, chicken strips and shakes...never been disappointed at any Cook Out I've been to.One on 55 in Durham has indoor seating, too!
