A nice space when it’s not too crowded and loud. It can be a bit echo-y for conversations when it is. They have a couple of dark beers which I greatly appreciate and a regular rotation of food trucks.
Fraise Juice rocked my world! It’s a rare find. A hard seltzer that is CBD-infused. Light and delicious. Love this unusual drink and LOVE this place and the people.

I'm not a big beer drinker however in our large group for a private party there were several aficionados and they raved. Cool vibe at this brewery makes it a fun place for dinner and a beer or glass of wine. Only beer and a limited selection of wine but that does not detract from your visit.
The best place in Raleigh to get a large variety of craft beer. I'm fond of the Scott's View (Scottish ale), Up & At 'Em (coffee porter), although if you like IPA's, the Tidal Break is excellent. Staff here is amazing & friendly, and happy to give samples to the undecided. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, and it's common to see dogs & kids here, although the dogs seem better behaved, and run around less.
Compass Rose Brewery is has a great atmosphere and some pretty solid selection for beverages. I'm glad that more places are starting to have a selection of Sour beverages. This place has no real division to it's environment, so if you have a band playing, it will be VERY loud and at times difficult to even have a conversation with the person next to you.LOTS of seating, and parking is available if the other businesses are closed. They do have some outdoor seating as well. Dog friendly, but don't bring your dog when there are bands. It's to crowded and honestly probably not great for your pooch's hearing.
Ambience isn't great. Beer is delicious. Typical warehouse style setting. Nice outdoor patio with seating. Would love to see more live music events here as there isn't much. Stouts and NEIPAs are my favorite here. Prob my 2nd or 3rd fav brewery in Raleigh
Have been here a few times now with various friends and neighbors. Always a great time with quick service and a nice selection of beers on tap. Sometimes they have a food truck out back, too, which can be hit or miss depending on what truck is there, but we have so far been lucky on the food front as well.Oh, they also have live music pretty often and it's clear that they support the local scene including smaller (yet still very talented) artists. Lots of acoustic jam type nights and decent sound quality considering it's a big open warehouse type space.Very impressed and will be back again soon!
First time there and loved it!!The servers were awesome, the empanadas were the best I've ever tasted. And loved the coffee beer I had. Can't wait to go back.
We were considering this location to have our Millbrook High School reunion. From the first call from my classmate, then my contact in person, the prices kept changing. First, they wanted to charge us a fee just to go there of $700 to drink, which this price changed a few times. Then we were told we had to spend at least $1000 range on drinks. Well, you never know who may or may not drink adult beverages. After many attempts by two members of our class, through emails and phone calls, we had two different replies. Joanne gave me her number and the time to call. I called 4 days in a row, always leaving a vm. Also, one last email. We have 50 to 80 people who will be at our event for our reunion. We have now booked another location, which was easy. They were happy to have our biz. And there were no additional fees. Those from North Raleigh and the area, there are several great places that will welcome your biz without the hassle of a location with poor management. In my career, I have hosted many events in the medical and dental profession, never have I encountered something like this.
