I was out and about and saw this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Chubby's is AMAZING!!! The atmosphere and servers were welcoming. They offer a great selection of food. I was impressed with the variety and freshness of their food. I've been to Mexican restaurants in the past and have only found one that I trusted and frequented. They have since changed ownership and the food had gone downhill. Chubby's is definitely on my go-to list of places to eat!
We stopped in this charming Taco spot not long ago and ended up finding a gem!! Absolutely love the authentic vibe when you walk in, easy to order, great interaction with the staff (very friendly) and of course the salsa options was one of my favorite parts!! ❤️ They truly have a flavor for any pallet, but I was in love with their Carnitas. ? Two thumbs up, you won't be disappointed! Take a pic under the Chubby somebrero! ?

Given 2-stars because the customer service was good.I cannot believe how overpriced their food is. 4 tacos should not cost 20 dollars. I came one time before and seen why I never came back. Was not flavorful at all. And the meat was dry as ever. Tried their tacos and they're just tacos. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone because there are better taco spots in the area.
Honestly superior. There is a reason this joint is known for top food hubs in Raleigh. In addition to having a varied, highly customizable, fairly priced menu of delicious meals, the staff is super kind and patient.I had an issue when ordering online and incurred additional toppings and charges without knowing, and the manager wa so kind, respectful, knowledgeable and efficient to quickly resolve my concerns.If you're looking for a decadent bite with quick, kind and amazing service, you've found the right place!
I've been going here for 3 years faithfully and I'm officially over this location. The new staff can't lair a burrito to save their lives, if you order anything with steak you'll get an infant portion size of it, the chips are always stale now and their burritos and wraps are all rolled sloppy and come apart immediately after getting them. You're better off making the food yourself than eating their bland disappointing food. Save yourself time and money and go find a taco truck.
Oh no no no no, this is not food. It is my displeasure to assure you that the food I had been served had no resemblance to Mexican food, nor any food for that matter.Here are the following things that I found:-Lack of flavor across the board in every aspect of the dish-Dry fish that was layered with a rancid odor-Portion sizes were incomprehensible with price-Burritos were practically empty, save for the stinky fish inside and salt-less refried beans-Teenagers in the kitchen and behind the counter were incapable of taking an order already on the menu, as well as serving correct ordersThe biggest disappointment in the grand scheme of things was that, not only was the food flavorless and simply bad, the price was much higher than other places of the same caliber. Paying $28 for two child-sized burritos filled with air and rancid fish, with a side of 3 tortilla chips and a tablespoon of guacamole is absolutely unforgivable. Not only that, but the service itself was bad as well; the teenagers serving and cooking couldn't get the orders down nor serve them correctly.Furthermore, the fish that we had was foul-smelling and simply dry. Whether this fish was sitting in the freezer for three decades, or simply a cheap cut from the dollar store, that doesn’t matter at this point; the point is that the fish was terrible, and had no business being on any plate, let alone something you dared to call a burrito. The dry rice inside was meant to be Mexican rice, and I can assure you that it was nothing of the sort. With a slight red tinge, it could have been colored with blood for all I knew; it, too, was flavorless. The chips and guac on the side were an additional cost of $4, and I needed a microscope to find them on the table; I was served three tortilla chips with a dollop of something resembling guacamole. The most incredible part of the meal was that you somehow managed to become the first establishment to make refried beans bland; it is a true accomplishment of yours, the only one that I found.I am amazed this place still exists, let alone has more than one location. Please, if you enjoy food of any kind, don't go here unless you like throwing money down the stinky toilet.
I was really excited to try here because they had good reviews, but honestly it was mediocre at best, and insanely overpriced for the quality. I would be better off going to Moe’s (which I’m not a fan of!) for a fraction of the cost. I will say though, they do have good queso.
The employees were polite, the taste of the food was good, but it's too pricey for the portions they give you. I ordered a chicken bowl, and paid $8 for a small bowl that was only half full. I could go to several other places around town and get more food for the same price.
I have been coming to this location for years and it was always the great, I would actually go out of my way to come and grab lunch here and told everyone I knew how good the food was. However; the last three times I have been here, the food is not what is used to be. I always order a burrito and always loved their burritos but the last three times I have been very disappointed. The steak is chewy and during my last visit the burrito was much smaller and it barely had any meat in it. Every bite simply tasted like beans and rice and a slight hint of steak. I figured maybe the first two times I was disappointed with the food it might been a 1 or 2 time occurrence so I decided to give them one last chance but I was again very disappointed. I am not sure I can plan on coming back again or recommend it to anyone. My pictures attached shows how you can’t even see the meat in the burrito!
