Can’t say enough good things about this place. Friendly staff & the best pulled pork bbq in Raleigh! Wish they stayed open later than 6pm but aside from that wouldn’t change a thing.
Grayson and his co worker (I didn't get his name) were kind, professional, friendly and the food was AMAZING!!! Everything was fresh and delicious!!! What a hidden treasure this place is!!!

Exemplary service, great conversation, and (somehow) even more fantastic food. The pulled pork was incredible from soaking in the perfect Carolina sauce, the mac'n'cheese was gooey, the slaw both tangy and sweet, and the hush puppies were crispy-doughy delights. Totally worth checking out - get some dessert, too, you won't be disappointed.
This place is a 5 star when the owner is there. When they have some high school/college kids is a 1 star so I am doing a 2 star.Owner asks you all kinds of stuff to confirm the order. Kids didn't get orders right, no hushpuppies on some orders, all cold sides (that should be hot).I was talking up this place to my coworkers so they put in orders and I'm embarrassed for them now =/Won't come back anymore because its so hit or miss now.
I've gone in to get food and also had them cater several time to my workplace. People at works get super excited when they know Chop Shop is providing food. The staff is SUPER nice. Food is a crowd pleaser and there is something for everyone, including vegetarians. The mac and cheese and banana pudding are the best around IMO.
We had the best experience tonight at the Chop Shop! Delicious food, especially the hush puppies and Cowboy beans! Oh and the pork skins! Hudson and his nephew Grayson showed us true hospitality and were so generous with samples and stories. All this in a gas station restaurant. If we're ever in Raleigh again you can be sure we'll eat at the Chop Shop!Beth & Burke
Hands down the BEST pulled pork and Mac n cheese I’ve had in a long time. The owner and the young man working with him were amazing ? they truly do make you feel at home and take the extra time to talk to you while you wait for your scrumptious food. Definitely will be going back for more when we are In town.
Good eating! I stopped at Costco to get gas on my lunch break and just did a search for food near me and this place popped up. The food was good and what really impressed me was the service. The guys were super nice and very attentive. They got my order and me back on the road quickly. The "cowboy beans" and the broccoli salad are phenomenal! ??
