I'm very disappointed ?, please be weary, my order on 8/20 was $9.91, I tipped $4 in cash.. on 8/22 @ 6am, my bank records show, pending $16.91.. so there was a $5 up charge which essentially brought tip to $9??.. thats almost %100 tip.. why would i tip $9 if my order only came out to $9.91?... please be weary of your bank records, I've reached out to all family and friends and suggested they review the bank records for any unauthorized charges..
We had a couple of snacks here. The samosas we ate were very good. It came with a spicey green sauce. The concept of having food-truck-like kiosks in a what looks like a market place is nice. The food throughout is quite pricey, though.
It's great to have a good Indian place at White Oak to add some variety. The menu is not large, but that is fine (attaching menu shots). We shared the Samosa Chaat and Bison Mono. Both were very good. The staff was very friendly. We'll be back again I am sure.
Update 2019 Nov 15, Chhote's is permanently closed. A pizza business is in its place now.
I just stopped by this restaurant because it is near my house. I probably ate there 5 or six times in the last two months. We used to be greeted in a genuine friendIy way. The food was cooked properly and there was never a wait for the food. Today we were totally disappointed because the previous workers were kind and the food was much better. The chicken seemed cheap and not prepared properly. The level of service has gone down dramatically. There were fewer cooks in the kitchen, so obviously it took longer. If a large group were to arrive, they would have been totally overwhelmed. The new management ought to take a close look at their quality of service as well as the obviously cheaper meat. Whoever the new manager is needs to figure this out fast. I will likely return, but the entire experience is nowhere near what it was just a few short weeks ago.
I love the food here and really want it to succeed so I’m hoping the owner sees this and takes some advice. The food, menu, specials are all perfect. But the ambiance kills it. It’s like it can’t figure out what it wants to be. Is it casual dining where you want people to stay a while? Is it designed more for take out? Friday night at dinner time tv’s not on and no music playing combined with hard silver chairs that looks like patio furniture doesn’t make me want to stop and stay a while. But there’s so much room inside that making it take-out only seems to be a waste. The other thing I would recommend is adding “Indian food” to your outdoor sign on the building because no one driving by will know what “Chhote’s” is. And it’s already in a bad location so you need to do what you can to draw folks in! So for readers looking for a place to eat, love this food, but this is not a “date night” spot til they get the inside in better shape.
WOWWWW this place is amazingly good! The food is actually cooked when you order. They have carry out services as well as sit down. The food is SUPER flavorful and the employee and the owner are awesome. I had both the lamb and the chicken and both dishes were very good. The mint sauce is to die for!!
I was so excited to eat here and they did not disappoint!
The Food IS AMAZING The Atmosphere IS INVITING The Staff Are Super Friendly.. This Is My Go To Place Food Is Very Fresh!!
This is our favorite Indian restaurant...of all time. The food is absolutely delicious and is served in generous portions. The staff was extremely friendly and even gave us a free Masala tea while we waited for our food. The restaurant itself was clean and I liked that you could see the food being prepared. We’ve probably eaten here a total of 10 times now, and we have never been disappointed. Even when ordering for a large family (10), the orders have been accurate, timely, and the best Indian food we’ve ever had.
