It's on campus and can be busy at times. There are Middle Eastern food options available such as chicken shawarma and chicken tawook. There are many other things such as pizza, calzones, and pasta, etc. Food is pretty good and reasonably priced. There's no where to sit in the restaurant. You have to take it to go. And the parking lot is very small and usually full since it's on campus.
great pizza for the price the wings are pretty good to. I had gumbys and checkers back to back this place is better
Restaurants clean staff is on top of things unless the older generation is in the building and you will end up paying double or triple for the same thing you've been going to this place for years getting that anyway I was in their charges I don't know if they're short money what's going on here but price changes based on who's at the register the younger generation is absolutely off the hook they work their tales off and immediately get your food ready. It only takes about 10 minutes to get a lamb your rope plate which is the only thing I've ever ordered from there and it is a pretty great!
When in doubt Checker your way out. The owner and staff are absolutely family. Have never done me wrong.
I grew up just south of Raleigh, but never visited Checkers Pizza. Now, I have a new place to enjoy, and will do so often!*will edit when I remember which pizza I ordered ?
have been waiting for two hours for my pizza, calling consistently but going unanswered every time. No idea if they have even begun making the pizza, only an email confirming the order which is useless because they avoid communication
I just got a Alfredo steak pizza and garlic knots and it was one of the best pizzas iv ever had the garlic knot were to die for and the marinara sauce that came with them tasted home made 10/10 my new favorite pizza place staff were super friendly it was really busy when I went and I can see why
These clowns did not list all the ingredients of their turkey sub.Ordered it delivered to my spouse as she is stuck at work.They sent a sub with Olives and Cucumber which is not listed, and insane amounts of mustard oozing out of it.Called them about the sub and stated that if all those ingredients were listed then I would not have ordered those items.Their response was a flippant "well just bring it in uneaten and we'll make another".Why the hell would we need to drive to the store we just paid for delivery from???18 bucks wasted.NEVER AGAIN.
Hands down the some of the best pizza , subs , wings , baklava, etc in Raleigh ! I’ve lived here a long time and I have always loved this place and they stay open super late and are 9/10 they’re ? on point ! Since I live quite a distance away from Checkers, I was so happy when I finally saw it as an option on DoorDash , (being that I don’t like to drive downtown at night and all the way back . I placed an order tonight at 11:20pm a small pizza and some baklava. It did not get here until 12:35 ,Yes they were later than expected but it was a long way and I know the driver had another delivery to make on the way when I got my pizza there was no meat on it ,I paid extra! Well, I called Checkers and I spoke to them and They immediately apologized and told me they would like to make it right . To me that’s customer service : apologizing and asking the customer what they can do to make it right . ( Can I just get a refund on my meat add on ? The pizza was delicious anyway so fair is fair.... ) So Checkers gets the win ! Great food and they care about their customers!! Checkers Please open a location in North Raleigh !
I ordered a gyro and it cost 7.99. Clerk told me it was $8.64 and she rung me up $9.04. Not a big deal but pretty annoying for not telling me the exact amount. It took 35 minutes to make. I must have watched them make 8 pizzas while I was waiting. On top of all that the gyro was cold and smaller than my hand. Will NEVER be coming back here. Terrible service.
