Only methods to order are via paper ticket or online, but the paper tickets don’t have all of the options (wife wanted mayo on her cheeseburger, no box for it on paper) so I put in an online order. I checked in with the folks at the window and was told I’d pay when my order was ready, but they never took my order number which I see now might have saved this headache. Around 30 minutes into my wait, I started getting antsy, but it was the dinner rush and I figured they were just slammed with online orders. After waiting 50 minutes the other guy that ordered when I did had already received and finished his food, and the kitchen staff looked like they were in clean up mode and weren’t working on any orders. I figured my order had gotten misplaced, cut my losses and left. At least I didn’t had to prepay for the order…

Local legend that has national notoriety. Solid but limited menu. Submit your own order sheet in the slot and enjoy some oldies while ypu wait (not long) for your name to be called. Outdoor and indoor seating at this location, but some have only outdoor. BTW, get plenty of napkins!

Fairly well maintained, older burger joint. The atmosphere is from the 1950's: old radios on the wall & an old bicycle hanging from the ceiling. The Muzak is only songs from the 50's. What's interesting is that the visible kitchen and registers are all sealed in glass. There are order pads as soon as you enter. You fill out what you want, then place your order in the drop chute. When your order is ready, they'll call for you over the PA system.I got the 1/2 pound cheeseburger with everything, very tasty!Next time, I'll try their shakes!

A Raleigh classic. Due to local popularity there is always a wait, but never a long one and you can always call ahead. The whole menu is good but you can't claim to have tried the best burgers in the triangle if you haven't had a Charburger.

Love the burgers here. Was a little on the greasy side but still good. Had the whole family there amd everyone enjoyed it.

Friendly staff, good quick service. Excellent burgers. Best comparison is a upscale cook-out

I love Char-Grill. They're a reminder of childhood drive-ins. They have old-fashioned music, ordering, food choices, and manners. The only thing lacking is old-fashioned prices, but you can't have everything. Their prices are at least reasonable for modern times. They're one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

This is the best burger in Raleigh...Always on point and fast. Clean and convenient locations. I have lived in Raleigh all my life and this is a staple for us. Thanks for serving Raleigh so well. Can't beat a cheeseburger fries and a t shirt for 20$

This is like a cheaper 5 guys, same style with the foil wrapped around the burger. I got the 1/2lb burger and it was done pretty good. My only small complaint is I put down large fries and got small (from what it looked like). Will for sure be coming back. The vibes inside is pretty nice as well.

Not as good as I remember. It's been several years since I have been to this one, and while the service was very good and the place was clean... The burger was not great. Good fries. Not a great burger.
