A North Carolina must have. The location on Atlantic avenue is outside seating only. I think there is one location that has inside seating? Either way the food is always good and satisfying.
It is the best burger and fries in the area with a chocolate shake that I really enjoy. I need to try the vanilla shake!
The woman working the register on 4/4/2022 (between 6 and 7pm) overcharged me for my order AND swiped my card, twice. I know she swiped it twice (as opposed to it simply being a duplicate) because the transactions were for different amounts. I paid for all of my items at once and did not place any additional orders. So, there was no reason for my card to be swiped more than once. I had to dispute the overcharge for my order and the second, unauthorized transaction. This was my first time trying this location (I typically go to the wake forest location) and my last.
CharGrill only offers window takeout but they do have a few picnic tables on site. Food was GREAT! Ordered 3 very different burger combos and received everything correctly, not one problem. Our food came out hot and pretty quickly! The burgers and fries were top notch! The fries especially are not to be missed! They were hot, crispy and delicious! They even have the great pellet ice for your drinks. The 100% sanitation rating was a plus.
This place is great. Quick turn around on food and it's pretty cheap. It's usually not super busy even around lunchtime. No crazy wait like some of the other locations but the taste and quality are still top-notch.They have restrooms on-site if you need to use them before you eat.
Came by to get a bite to eat and filled out my ticket. Waited about 15 mins. Got my order went back to my truck to eat. Checked my receipt and my food was not what I ordered. Overcharged me for additional things that I did not check on the ticket. Went to the window and asked for a refund. Didn’t get a refund at all. Told me to call a manager. Be careful when you pay for your food and check the receipt.
Anytime I want a good ole nasty burger, I come to CharGrill!! Add lettuce, tomato, cheese, grilled onions, and bacon and we have a winner!! It was so much birger, that I could only eat 1/4 of it! I had enough to last me for breakfast the next day! I'll be back!Honorable mention: their fries.
Best all time burgers and shakes..the gems are to die for with fry sauce..and they have Pepsi products... Plus footling hotdogs with all the trimmings... Old-time drive up.. it's awesome ?

I've lived in Raleigh my whole life. There has been a lot of change in the city, restaurants trying to spice up their menus with gimmicks to reel in more customers. I love how Char Grill has continued to provide the community with an unwavering constant on the American Burger. Prepared to the same standard every time I have it. I also enjoy how the order cards say catsup as opposed to ketchup. Char Grill is a treasure.
