Guys I got a bit of everything. From cookies, eclairs, cupcakes, and filled croissants...it was spectacular!!! I will definitely grab more croissants and various flavors on my next visit. It was like tasting a deliciously filled cloud because the croissant was sooo soft!
I have been dreaming of these croissants since I took my last bite. This shop was so cute, clean, and inviting. The pastries were all so fresh and the sweet gal at the front even offered me a sample of their glazed croissant! Let me tell you, I was hooked after that. Everything was delicious! I can't wait to take my mom here so we can enjoy some sweets and a coffee when she comes to visit NC. 10/10!! :D
I have to admit the sweets in this shop are excellent. But you see no prices posted and they seem to charge whatever they want. The last time I went there I asked how much were the croissants, she said $2.75 for the top shelf they are more than the lower shelf. So I got one croissant from the top shelf and one from the lower shelf. My bill for two croissants was $8.43 for two croissants? The bill for my earlier visit was over $40.00, a chocolate chess pie and 4 croissants. I will not be going back to this bakery anytime soon. They really need to post prices.
The pastries here are mediocre, at best. I ordered a Strawberry lemonade cupcake and a Crumb Coffee cake. The cupcake was decent but the frosting was just a bit sweet for my taste; the sugar becomes overwhelming and it did not have its own flavor, it was just 'sugar' flavored. The coffee cake was a whole different story. It was literally bland. And quite dense when typically these should be soft and light. I even warmed it up in the microwave hoping it would be better warm but no. It was still very dry and didn't have any sweet or cinnamon taste to it. It just kind of tasted like you're eating a large bisquit or something. DRASTIC false advertising on the coffee cake. There wasn't even coffee flavor. I think this place has potential to be better. Maybe Covid has changed things as the pastry cases were not full with lots of interesting varieties as the other reviews stated. However, I am not sure that they would actually be ANY good. For a bakery/pastry shop, I would expect MUCH HIGHER quality than say, Food Lion? Lol.
Love the filled croissants! They have so many fun flavors. I bought a variety of flavors for my boyfriend's birthday and he loved all of them! They were so good that I went back and got some for my coworkers! Then I went and got some for my mom's birthday a few months later!

Best pastry I've had in my life!! Lady in glasses was super friendly and sweet. Also the other staff was amazing 10/10 would repeat

Burnet’s is famous for their filled croissants. Absolutely delicious! We always purchase a couple of dozen for special events! ? just wish they would ditch the mask ? requirement .
Best bakery in town. Love the glazed croissants. They are dangerous. So good.
