The employees were not friendly, there were dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling above them (right where the food is). We ordered 6 bagels with a tub of cream cheese, and the few choices of bagel we had were all far from fresh and the cream cheese is almost solid. After waiting forever in line to be blatantly skipped, we then waited forever just for someone to cash us out. The bagels were not split and there were no knives to take to go. We would have had a better experience and better bagels from Walmart.
Just a fantastic place for a bagel. One of the spots I wish I went to more often when in school.
This morning's visit was less than sub par. Stopped in for an Asiago bagel with egg. The cashier may have been new so it took them a minute to function the computer and this took longer than I needed it to for check out. Someone finally came out to assist them. I also ordered a sweet tea with my order and the cashier was a bit confused on what to do. I finally got to work to enjoy my sandwich; the bagel wasn't even toasted all the way through-doughy taste and the tea in the sweet container had to have been confused with the unsweetened tea canister because there's no way sweet tea in North Carolina should taste as bitter as I what I drank. I know these are trying times and customers have to be patient with businesses but I still expect good food because while service may have changed based on lack of manpower; ingredients have not. I appreciate the cashier even though it took me too long at the cash register, their effort is appreciated. However, to pay almost $9.00 for breakfast and it wasn't good was disappointing.
Love the food and the people here. Quick and courteous.
Nice place. Great bagels, good staff. No dine in.
If I could give zero stars I would. I will never be going back to this location. There was a blind man in line in front of me, he nicely asked if there was somewhere he could sit and the person working the register refused to let him sit because their dining room was closed. He tried to tell him that they had to accommodate him because he is blind. He tried to tell him that the other locations let him sit and eat even though they have the same rules. It was raining and the man asked where else he could go and they cashier said something along the lines of "I don't know, not my problem." When he was done paying they wouldn't tell him where his food was so I picked it up and put it in his hand for him. When It was my turn to checkout I said "you were pretty rude to that man don't you think?" He flat-out said "no, I don't. I can't control the rules." I responded with "he literally can't control that he is blind" and then I left. I wish I would have done more. I usually come to this location once or twice a week but I will never be returning.
Decades long Brueggers (Chapel Hill) patrons here, so our NCSU daughter was excited to have one so close to her dorm. Today (at Hillsborough location) was the third time she complained that the cream cheese tasted BAD on her sandwich She says that's the last time to give it a chance (since seems like not a fluke.) Anyone else think the cream cheese tastes odd here?
Always delivers quality.
Bruegger's makes bagels with many toppings - all the standard ones, poppy and seed, garlic, with a few more elaborate ones such as cheesy topping - also pumpernickel ones. But what attracts me are the innovative and tasty sandwiches - such as brisket or pastrami or turkey. It's not just the main filling, there will be sauce of some sort along with onion rings and possibly more. You also have to check since there are often one or two specials offered. Then they have a good assortment of fruit drinks in addition to the usual coffee.
We purchased 5 bagels at 9:30 in the morning on Wednesday - they tasted microwaved or stale. They were literally unedible. Bagels were Hard & Chewy. I called to let them know and was put on hold for 5 minutes and then hung up.
