I ordered a negroni cocktail. It was a good strong cocktail but a bit too sweet for me. This is a cool place in Downtown Raleigh. You can get coffe, spiked coffee, cocktails, beer, wine, and dessert. It's a different type of bar which is cool. If you are in Downtown Raleigh, stop by. It's also in a walkable location.
I have been here more times than I could possibly count and have had a fantastic experience each and every time. Whenever I'm downtown I try to stop and whenever friends visit I am sure to take them. The staff is always so friendly and I love the seasonal rotating menus.
Probably the best espresso martini I've ever had! Then my group shared a few gin cocktails which were also delicious. Our server Bella was knowledgeable and super friendly!
We came on behalf of the taste Carolina food tour the atmosphere is awesome and I’m sure the caffeinated drinks are superb. The carrot cake cupcake with cream cheese frosting and the sea salt chocolate chip cookie was already prepared and chosen for us to try. While I appreciated both desserts, I did find the cookie to be more on the drier side. I’m not a huge fan of carrot cake so the cupcake overall was moist. I would try it again and pick some different desserts. Overall experience was good.
One of my fav dessert bars in Raleigh ? it's so nice to go to for a warm drink and their desserts are so good! I think(?) their menu rotates so it's always fun to try new things when I go! Pictured are the chocolate ginger pie and a mocktail version of the gin & jam. My SO got the Medic in the back :) very cute and intimate date spot or spot to try with friends! It can get busy and may have a wait though ?
I had heard about this place online from a friend of mine and I have to say they certainly did not disappoint. He told me of an alcoholic dessert bar that was beyond any expectation, that it was an experience you had to have for yourself. They were not wrongMe and my friend went and ordered our drinks and dessert and we were more than pleasantly surprised with what they brought to us.I ordered the orange you going to ski with me? Which is essentially orange liqueur hot cocoa angostura whipped cream and bourbon. My friend ordered a cappuccino, raspberry mousse and the house signature dish, the Bittersweet Baller ice cream sundae. Sure the price tag was a little higher than I expected but I felt it was worth it.10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND
Bittersweet is a must try if you love desserts, coffee, and specialty cocktails! I wanted to try everything on the menu honestly because everything sounded amazing. I had to try their Toasted Almond coffee cocktail because I love almond and it was amazing! Also tried their Espresso Martini and S’mores Sundae. The sundae had torched house-made marshmallow cream, Valrhona dark chocolate brownie, vanilla ice cream, and toasted graham. If you have a sweet tooth like me, this is the place to go!
Had a great experience at Bittersweet! Great menu selection of cocktails, desserts, and coffee. Everything on the menu was unique and sounded good so it was hard to choose! We ended up ordering the s’mores sundae and it was everything we thought it would be and more! It’s a great spot to go to after dinner or for a casual/nice late night spot.
If you have a “hankering” for something sweet, decadent and of wedding-reception quality, look for BITTERSWEET in downtown Raleigh! They have the most incredible tasting pies and quite a unique craft drink menu. The Bloody Mary was so delicious. The pie slices we tried were mouthwateringly unbelievably delicious too! Wow!
Oh my God I love this place! What's not to love in the best desserts paired with the best drinks! My husband and I love to go here on dates and enjoy our drinks and desserts. This is truly one of downtown Raleigh's gems!
