Great food and drink options
Nice friendly staff. Loved the atmosphere.
Best food we have had when traveling. Would recommend to everyone.
The best chicken and waffles anywhere! Everywhere I go I seek out C&W and Beasley’s is by far the best IMO. The C&W here aren’t like the ones at Roscoe’s in Los Angeles these are a foodies C&W, delicious high quality chicken cooked perfectly with a thick, fresh waffle. My wife calls it a “boojie” C&W because they’re that good.
The sauces that come with fries is what made this visit for me. The cheerwine and comeback sauce (horse radish based) were a genius modern incorporation of southern flavors. Chicken is pretty expensive for being alright and for the size you get. I wouldnt be surprised if they say the chicken is small because it's grown local or something. I wouldn't come here if I'm really hungry. It's more of a place you take your friends from out of town to impress them with a cool-youthful atmosphere.
We travel all over the US and Chicken places are fun to visit to compare. This one is unjustifiably more expensive than "Hattie B's" (Nashville TN) or even another perfect chicken place called "The Eagle" (Cincinnati/Indianapolis). Both of these are top in the class. Beasleys has a lot of negatives that I just didn't care for, like soda drinks only served in glass bottles (No free refills). Yes the sweet tea did have refills and that was a plus but if your a fan of free refills this isn't your place. The Chicken sandwich here (attached photo) was just ok....nothing really stood out. I almost think a ChickFla sandwich could give it a test; especially for the cost difference. Many locals talked about how great this place is - well they need to get out more and eat Chicken!
The food was delicious with several unique options. Great to find a restaurant with different food choices from the norm. A nice atmosphere and friendly service. I definitely recommend.
Totally worth the calories! My husband is a vegetarian who occasionally ‘cheats’ . He says this chicken was well worth it. We heard there is a line at brunch. We were able to get right in for an early dinner/late lunch at 4:30. We both ate chicken and waffles. He had the breast. I had the thigh. Both were excellent. I want to visit Raleigh to watch here again.
Immediate sense of “modern southern comfort” staff is educated on menu and even with a packed house had numerous staff willing to take an order. I’m impressed!Bar is sufficiently stocked with anything you could want on the norm.Impressed with the cleanliness! Place is spotless and witnessed regular cleaning, even during busy times.
Upon arrival for a late lunch I asked the server for a window seat so my wife and I could take in the vibe. She said she had to save it for groups of four, even though there were several other empty tables where four could sit. It was the way she said it....kind of degrading.....We then had a seat at a small table in the middle of the restaurant. Our server Jordan saved the day! What a cool dude with a great attitude. He made our experience memorable. The food was awesome.
