They learned how to make it better since their opening. It takes time like fine wine to get better. So crispy, so juicy, high quality chicken. And how did they get those sweet potato fries crispy. Two thumbs up.
So, first time trying and I must say it has some promise. I had the hot honey, 4 chicken strips and key limeade. The hot and honey could have used some seasoning. Chicken was uneven on the bun which means I almost lost the chicken out of the bun a few times. Strips are coated in panko (I think?). BBQ sauce was not for me. Mango sauce was different but I wish I had some fish tacos to put it on. Key limeade was great. Different tang but I could not stop drinking it.
UPDATED5/19Went back to revisit, this place was booming during lunch time. Wait time not too bad, they remembered the onions this time but they were all skin. The chicken was pretty decent until I saw pink in the center of the chicken. It's a no for me at this point. I think, if I revisit I'll just stick to sweet potato fries and drink or shake. So disappointed b/c I want to like this place.Nice staffStraight to the point decorwait times are reasonableFood packaged nice but incorrect order. I paid extra for pickles and onions and got neither. Disappointing. Expeditor needs to check for accuracy. Chicken could cook a few minutes longer.
It was just, fine/okay. I'm gluten-free, so having gluten-free CRISPY chicken on the menu is something of a novelty for me. I was super stoked to try this out. The chicken itself was very juicy and very crispy, but like so many other reviewers said, lacking in ANY flavor. It's so unfortunate to try the chicken by itself just to realize that it doesn't taste more than panko and chicken. Seriously a little salt, pepper, paprika, something would have gone a long way. The staff was great. The atmosphere was fine. I'm just super disappointed. I got the fries and sweet potato fries and they were fine but nothing to really write home about. The sauces were okay too. The yum yum sauce was definitely good and I got the hot honey but I wasn't totally on board. Overall, not sure if I'll try it again any time soon. Maybe I'll come back in a few months to see if they updated the receipt or try the grilled chicken sandwich. ?♀️
BB's is the real deal. The chicken, the sandwiches, the sides, the sauces, the shakes. There's no wrong order. The chicken is crispy (and the grilled is worthy, too). Try some pimento cheese on your sandwich - and don't sleep on the pimento toastie (add some chicken to it!). The hot honey sauce is my favorite, but I haven't tried a sauce I didn't like. The cheese curds are the star of the side options. Get some.
Like many, I was very excited to visit this new AC venture, and expectations were pretty high. The experience overall was mixed. The TL;DR is it’s an expensive fast food restaurant that is still working out the kinks and may need to revisit some recipes. Food is not being made to order and their timing is off (cold food). Here’s the breakdown…PROS- Food came out super fast- Chicken breading/batter was crispy- Cheese curds were excellent- Vanilla milkshake was solid- Bread was the star of the sandwichCONS- Food came out fast, but was barely warm- Sea-salt french fries literally had no salt on them, see the photo, find the salt for me.- Chicken breading/batter lacked flavor. It seems it was designed to be drenched in a sauce.- Chicken meat was dry
Crispy crunch in every bite of a juicy chicken sandwich. Really was surprised that every bite of chicken had that crunch. Ordered the Pimento Please and a duo of the brine cured fries and the cheese curds. Great pimento cheese for sure and that’s really where the flavor for the sandwich resides-in the toppings. Didn’t get much flavor from the breading on the chicken (just a satisfying crunch) or the chicken itself. Realizing the fries are brine cured-they are saltier than I typically like. Cheese curds we’re ok but salty as well(maybe that’s the point?) don’t forget the sauce for the fries, the mango sweet and sour gave me heavier pineapple but it was nice. For two with no drinks and sides it was over $30. I would go there again to try another sandwich and maybe the waffle fries. Not a fan of the loud dining room concept.
High quality fast food. No way around it. Came across this place by accident and wasn’t aware of hype or expectations.Had the Hot One and the chicken was crispy and delicious. The space is new and clean. Staff friendly. And even at lunch the line was absolutely reasonable.Looking forward to trying more soon.
This place is way over-hyped because of the owner’s reputation. The food taste is fine but is it worth the high price and long lines? Absolutely not. Go to a well known, more efficient fast food chain and you’ll have the same experience for a quarter of the cost. The prices here make no sense to me and are a large contributor to why this place isn’t worth the hassle. Why is it $11 for 3 sides but only $5 for two sides? That doesn’t make sense you could order two of the two-sides and get FOUR sides for $10 instead of three sides for $11? Who came up with this pricing scheme? And $7 for a milkshake that is just blended soft serve with whip cream? $10 for a chicken sandwich smaller than most fast food chains? On to the food, the sides were just okay at best. The cheese curds were not good, they are like chewy rubber and the breading leaves a terribly dry feeling in your mouth. The sauce sides do not have nearly enough sauce they fill the little cups like halfway. The chicken dippers or tenders breading was weird and dry the same as the cheese curds. The sweet potato waffle fries and the regular fries were nothing to write home about. The classic chicken sandwich had no flavor at all except for the flavor of the pickles, but the chicken was juicy inside and crunchy outside.
First of all, I entered it with high expectations, but I also know it was still fast food. Speaking of which, it's very good. I got a classic sandwich with chips and three sauces (cedar mayonnaise, southwest farm and hot honey). The sandwiches were wonderful: the bread was delicious, the kebabs were delicious and the mushrooms were delicious. French fries are nothing that breaks the ground, but they are hot and the sauce really enhances the whole experience. The place is clean and the staff friendly. We wait less than 10 minutes in the evening to start eating. If you came to this place just to wait for a good chicken sandwich, this one really offers.
