We have been eating Bali Hai food for well over 30 years, and at most of the locations in the Triangle area. I have never found a restaurant that had the same unique taste. We took our kids to Bali Hai, and now they are taking their kids to Bali Hai! Recommended!
I went here on a whim of nostalgia— haven’t been to Bali Hai since the one in Raleigh burned down. The way they charge for the food changed and is no longer per bowl, it is per pound. The food was still decent, but it was disappointing how much rice they put into the take-out containers prior to weighing. It seemed like half the weight was due to the amount of rice.
Great place to eat. We sat in the patio area.
The cooks don't seem to care when you ask them to cook your food away from the meat and use another stick to flip it because you are a vegetarian. This is the second time I have tried to make them understand. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant if you are a vegetarian.
My husband went for lunch and for one person it cost 25 dollars! They used to charge per bowl with the rice separate and it was very affordable. Now they charge per pound including the rice and the price has skyrocketed. Very overpriced for the quality of the meat. They refuse to give you tap water and make you pay a couple dollars for the plastic bottled water.
Excellent delicious food.
Great food good concept. Affordable. One less star since the server made it a but difficult to get extra paper napkins. But Eh! whatever. Food rocked and prices were lovable.
Concoct your own meal and stuff your face! Nice people, great food!
Been going since the original location. Tasty, inexpensive, quick. I do combination sauce. Only difference is they go by weight, not by the bowl like they used to. Not sure if this is due to covid or a permanent change at this location.
If you come here do not order the tofu. It is super bland, very moist, and hardly cooked, not crispy in the slightest.
